Debate reactions?

I didn’t watch. Winners? Losers? What does it matter when it all feels so dumbed down.

Television is a dumb media. Medium (?)

I had never seen Bloomberg talk until tonight. What a dick.

I’ll never vote for him. If he is the nominee, I’ll write in Warren.

Speaking of Warren…. she had a great night. i think bloomberg and Klobersaurous wanted to physically attack her.

Bernie is more likeable that bloomberg.

Pete…… he’ll make it through super tuesday as the last centrist.

I didn’t watch last night or any. I’m not sufficiently hardened and my stomach can’t take it. I’m a Warren fan but what was dicky about Bloomberg?

    • Ben says:

Bloomberg repeatedly made remarks like “has anyone here started their own business? only me? ok” (you gotta insert your own arrogant new york accent)

He also blamed senators for legislation passing that they voted against… inferring that since they were in congress and it passed congress, it’s their fault. He talked about climate change like someone who expects to comfortable live through it. His jabs were really hollow, he insulted workers, the intelligence of people not as rich as him, took credit for ALL of his wealth, bragged about his wealth….
Do yourself a favor and get a highlight reel of Warren’s night. it’ll remind you why you’re a fan.
Bernard had a great night too.
I will not vote for mike bloomberg if he is the nominee.

THIS -> Warren on Bloomberg NDAs

“She completely obliterated him in 2 minutes and 19 seconds.”

I didn’t think Buttigieg looked good at all going after Klobuchar. When you’re a mayor of a city the size of Wilmington DE, it looks ridiculous going after someone else’s foreign policy record.
I thought Biden had one of his better debates.
Everyone had the knives out for Bloomberg. He would have been better off sitting these things out completely.
I thought Warren had the best night. The waive the confidentiality clause in the settlements line against Bloomberg was a haymaker that landed.

    • Ben says:

this is the last debate we’ll see him in for sure. bet on it now… he will buy air time on a competing network at the same time as the net debate and pay people to compliment him.

  4. I watched. Buttigieg came across as a total dick. People hate a smart ass, and he WANTS you to think he’s a smart ass. As in ‘I’ve memorized more stuff than anybody else has’. Bloomberg got killed by Warren on those NDA’s. I mean, as in ‘I’d better order up another $100 mill in commercials to make up for this’ killed.

Someone woke up Ol’ Joe, who had by far his best debate despite the many moments of word salad. Nobody has won in Minnesota like Amy has won in Minnesota, just ask her. She’s been winning there since, I’m not making this up, 4th Grade. If she’s the nominee, she’ll win Minnesota.

My lingering concerns about Bernie were not assuaged last night. If our primary were held today, I’d vote for Warren. I think she can flat-out beat Trump.

The big losers, though, IMO, were Buttigieg and Bloomberg.

  5. Bane says:

For everyone coming after him, I don’t think Bloomberg did as bad as the media is reporting. Definitly rusty. Call me a pessimist, I don’t think the majority of American people really care about NDAs or racist policies when they walk in the voting booth. They may care when they talk to their friends or on social media. But I really think that all they care about is whether the person they are voting for is a fighter. Which is why Bernie is successful. I thought Bloomberg showed that he could take the shots and shoot back. And the focus on him made him look like the front runner.

Also, these Klobachar/Biden/Bernie/Warren talking points about their DC experience and voting history means nothing outside of the beltway. When will Democrats learn that nobody in America cares about how many bills they passed or sponsored. Our current President was a real estate cheat and a reality show hustler. Obama was in DC for a day before he started running for President. W was Gov of Texas. Clinton was Gov of Arkansas. GHWB was a product of DC, but he wouldnt have stood a chance if he were not VP to a former Gov of California and an actor. An actor who won the presidency by defeating a peanut farmer Governor from Georgia. Nobody cares what you did in the halls of congress, outside of the media and DC consultants. We’re going to lose.

    • Dave says:

Well said. We need a virgin and a fighter. The virgin because they would be the only one that can pass the purity tests.

      • Bane says:

        Dave,

I don’t think we need a virgin. We had Clinton and look at the tool in the White House now.

But we do need someone whose whole campaign message isn’t about all the years they’ve spent jerking off in DC.

    Dog. Pony. Some assembly required.
