Each of these people understand class politics very well. Don’t think for a second they don’t. They’re trying to convince the professional managerial class, wine moms and party attached elites and consultant that this is confusing and dangerous.
Well, it is dangerous, for the numbers next to their names above.
They would love to live in an American Singapore. Most people wouldn’t.
The thing that gets me is that they do it while posing as regular middle class Americans with the same cares and concerns as your affable next door neighbor.
To believe that Joe Scarborough or Coons has your economic best interests as heart is utterly laughable.
Explains a lot about the corporate media, does it not?
Where did that list come from? There’s not a chance David Ignatius or Mike Barnicle is worth only $1 million, unless they spend like inebriated seamen, and being worth $1 million doesn’t even put you in the top quintile in the U.S.
Tina Brown is only worth $5 million? She would have to be a world-class wastrel for that to be true. If this is self-reported, some of these people are lying.
Yeah. Most sites just give estimates and those are very lowball estimates.
Al Sharpton is clearly in the over $1 million club.
I’ve heard Coons at more like $50 million. Nancy Willing mentioned him at $500 million by some estimates.
At any rate, not everyone with a $1M net worth is against Sanders, and you don’t have to look very hard to find examples.
Very true. Just saying that when these guys put on the “Aw shucks, I’m just a working class guy” pose, it is bullshit.
Now do CBS.
