Potrumpkin Village Completely Unprepared For Coronavirus. Blames D’s For Criticizing (something the Rethugs never did during the Ebola scare, which was handled admirably by the Obama Administration). Blames media for inspiring stock market meltdown. Here’s what we know. Up until yesterday, virtually no significant testing was being done because public health agencies didn’t have testing kits. This phony administration didn’t do anything. Oh, and Trump still doesn’t give a shit about any of this except the stock market. Mike Pompeo, ‘testifying’ before Congress, refuses to rule out that the coronavirus is a hoax. The CDC ignores the existing tests and crafts its own, only to watch it crash and burn ( a must-read). And, of course, let’s not forget this. This is a massive fuck-up by a bunch of massive fuck-ups, and I’m afraid that the scope of this disaster will unfold swiftly. BTW, should I copyright ‘Potrumpkin Village’? As to the ‘hoax’, here’s the latest update.

I had been wondering about the reported failing US Covid-19 testing kits.
From Eschaton just now – answer?:
– Non-functional virus test kits, non-flying Boeing 737 MAX, non-autopiloting Autopilot Teslas. All not working and all profitable. Have we reached the point yet to admit the product or service that an American corporation purportedly makes is the EXCUSE for making money, not the MEANS?
– The failing virus test kits is inexcusable. There have been kits working reliably around the world for two months at least. This is Katrina level ineptitude by the federal government.
– The US demanded a US design test kit so that it could be US patented, and thus extra profitable for the Usual Shreklis. That it was late and didn’t work is irrelevant, because in the US the point is maximum profit, not functionality.. By our standards it was a complete capitalist success. That’s a bit embarrassing for the ruling class, so no, it’s not going to appear in the MSM.
The big fuckup apparently was sending workers without protective gear to deal with the cruise ship evacuees. That’s already led to cases affecting people who had no other exposure.
The coronavirus doesn’t care whether Trump can successfully blame the Democrats for yet another of his fuckups. It will spread regardless, and it will be as impossible to avoid as the common cold.
Trump has now labeled the corona virus “a hoax” and a plot by the media and the Dems to make him look bad (as if he needs help!), great way to set the stage for disaster. The virus is already here and spreading, as noted it will probably be impossible to avoid, what’s Trump’s cover story when Americans start dying? Mike Pence did it? Is this Trump’s Katrina Moment? Time will tell, but it looks like all the pathetic pieces are in place for a lovely rolling disaster. The bit with the failed test kits really ices the cake.
The failed test kits might also convince voters that experts rather than business people should be in charge of the nation’s health care system.
I watched some TV this morning. I learned something important.
The Saudi royal family and Xi Jinping with the Chinese communist party are good authoritarian dictatorships.
Cuba and Nicaragua are the bad kind.
I think this has something to do with oligrachs controlling global capital. Can’t be sure though. Just to be safe if you are a murderous dictator please allow Bloomberg to make money.
