Trump’s Speech Fills Nation With Dread

It was actually amusing (and horrible, but yes amusing). He seemed to be so focused on reading exactly what was written on the teleprompter, trying so hard not to screw up that when he was done, I almost relieved for him. Of course his delivery was so excruciating, I had an idle thought that perhaps he was sedated.

  2. Yeah. Watching as he painful tried to keep himself from improvising did provide a little entertainment.

  3. He was painfully trying to avoid this riff:

“You know, my uncle was a great person. He was at MIT. He taught at MIT for, I think, like a record number of years. He was a great super genius. Dr. John Trump. I like this stuff. I really get it. People are surprised that I understand it. Every one of these doctors said, ‘How do you know so much about this? ‘ Maybe I have a natural ability. Maybe I should have done that instead of running for president.”
