It isn’t that I don’t like Biden…

Filed in National by on April 29, 2020

…it’s that I see him running a mincing, timid and ultimately fucked-up repeat of 2016 campaign. The idea that this is going to be a close election makes me insane with anger.

For example, if he picks Kobs* for a running mate (or some similarly terrible person) I will seriously lose. Like “hide all the knives” lose it.

Feel the same way, Joe is not the man for these times, gonna have to rate the nominating process a failure.

The problem, as has been noted here before, is that the Democrats still run campaigns with the quaint notion that they can appeal to the innate humanity of the folks across the aisle. Build bridges, form coalitions, blah, blah, blah.

Today’s GOP, on the other hand, runs scorched-earth campaigns, full of lies, hate and empty promises. It’s all bullshit. We all know the only thing they care about is corporate profits and privatization. But it gets people out of the house and to the polling booth.

Joe Biden cannot beat Trump. This election will be a straight-up referendum on Trump, so the only person who can beat Trump is Trump.
