K-Pop [a genre of popular music originating in South Korea that has amassed enormous fandoms of teenagers and young adults] Stans [a very active instagram group that expresses extreme fandom for popular artists or artist groups] are spamming racist twitter hashtags with post to drown out racists.

On Twitter, the hashtags #WhiteLivesMatter, #WhiteoutWednesday and #BlueLivesMatter are currently trending. Traditionally, these hashtags would be used by right-wing conservatives to amplify their whiteness and draw attention away from the Black Lives Matter movement, but today, things are different—K-Pop stans have reclaimed the hashtag and are spamming it with fancams (i.e., photos and videos of their faves) to upset conservatives who are looking to find someone to agree with them.
