‘The Last Full Measure Of His Disgrace’.  I think that this time it’s different.  Pretty much everybody’s vote is locked in.  But, losing support from military voters and families is a big loss for Trump. And so richly deserved.  One of the most disgraceful things ever said by any President. Trump reversed himself on getting rid of Stars And Stripes, because he had to.

Trump’s Legal Expenses Almost All Paid From His Campaign Contributions.  It’s hard to believe some of the issues he’s spent money on.  We’re talking about $58 million.  Campaign contributors: Suckers and losers.

Has Trump Given Up On Arizona?:  If so, his path to an electoral college victory is that much more difficult. Not to mention, that Senate seat is almost certainly gone.

When You’ve Lost Sully…:  I really think that Trump may have destroyed his chances.  Forget about those who will flip, think about Trump supporters who will choose to stay home.  Not to mention, this plays to Biden’s strengths.

Trump Calls For End To ‘Un-American’ Racial Sensitivity Training.  All racism, all the time.

Nearly All BLM Rallies Peaceful.  More than 93%.  That’s why Trump needs to turn the rallies into battles–to claim that the rallies are un-American.

Delaware FOP Votes To Endorse Trump.  Memo to all Democratic elected officials: You don’t owe these criminal-enablers anything.  Stop kissing their fat asses. They have demonstrated that racism conquers all in what passes for their brains.

ACLU Sues Delaware Over Mail-In Ballots Deadline.  Nancy Willing broke this story here. Anthony Albence needs to abandon his ‘uninspired bureaucracy as usual’ approach.  Perhaps uninspired bureaucrat John Carney can impose on him…

More On The Groups Behind Maggie Jones. $202,000??:

Meyer’s most recent attack centers on a $202,200 contribution with ties to a New Jersey labor group in support of Jones’ campaign. He said the election should be decided by those in Delaware, not an outside group that “effectively wants to buy the county executive seat.”

“It’s really pernicious,” Meyer said.

Jones said she learned of it through Meyer’s campaign emails and did not solicit the group’s support.

The contribution was made by Building Stronger Communities LLC, a group that supported at least five Delaware Democratic candidates in 2018. The money was funneled through Growing Economic Opportunities, which is tied to New Jersey Laborers PAC, a political arm of the Laborers’ International Union of North America.

The organization could not be reached for comment.

A campaign finance report disclosing the payment lists Jones, 14th senate district candidate Bruce Ennis and Round World Consulting, a New Jersey-based political communications firm, as recipients.

Just b/c it’s Saturday, it doesn’t mean that there’s a shortage of serious stories.

What do you want to talk about?

  1. RSE says:

Does it matter that Trump denies he ever made the comments about the dead soldiers, and that no individual has come forward with the claim, and that it wasn’t in the John Bolton book, and this is the first we’ve heard of it, and there are witnesses who were there that day who say he didn’t say it?

    • jason330 says:

Multiple sources with direct knowledge confirm the reporting and confirm that Trump frequently makes disparaging comments about veterans, particularly disabled veterans.

The sad part is, you know RSE. You know full well who Trump is, but your self-worth is tied up in pretending that you don’t know. That is truly sad, and I feel for you.

Good luck with keeping the self-deception alive.

    • Trump wants the Fox reporter who confirmed a lot of the story fired:

No, it does not matter that Trump has denied it. Not with multiple sources confirming it, and not with Trump’s history of lying about everything. Not to mention his disparaging of John McCain as not being a war hero b/c he was shot down. It’s in character.

Also, forget about whether WE believe the story, look at all the people with military ties who DO believe it.

    • John Kowalko says:

Doesn’t matter because that lying sack of hatred you adore is a compulsive and pathological LIAR. He is on tape spewing his hatred and ugliness and has even tried to deny his “recorded” remarks calling John McCain a loser. For Christsakes don’t you QAnon cultists even try to see reality. You are as bad as that monster and you are the type of enabler who is responsible for his deeds by your defense of this monster

      • RSE says:

The best thing about our government is that presidents come and go. Things get done and things get undone, and change is slow and deliberate as designed.

Trump was/is, a shot across the bow of those who would fail and have failed in their methods of making sure our country moves forward in a way that is tolerable to the population.

Trump is a correction, a speed bump in an inevitable leftward movement…Is he an asshole?..Of course he’s an asshole.

        • John Kowalko says:

Unfortunately it’s not only about “coming” and “going”. It’s the swath of destruction and misery that they create and leave in their wake. Adolph Hitler “came” and “went” but the devastation he wrought can never be fixed. Trump is not a “speed bump” He is a sinkhole. A sinkhole to a hell on earth and a sinkhole in the heart of America and American idealism. He is far from finished with his slash and burn brand of hate and sociopathic regurgitations. His alliance with and admiration for despots, dictators and murderers throughout the world community only confirms the obvious facts of his merciless personality. His narcissistic personality not only signals a self-loathing, insecure sadist but threatens the very fabric of society. “Asshole” indeed. Much too kind and forgiving a term for a racist monster.

Agreed, John! I never have to guess what you really think. Very un-politician like, which is why you have my vote. That, and the fact that you are a representative with intelligence, conscience, and courage. Not to mention, you represent my values.

            Thanks!

        • Alby says:

This is the stupid-ass take Trumpers are going with now that their boy is clearly the worst president in history. “Oh well, at least he shook things up.”

Yeah, tell that to the families at the border. Tell that to the people terrorized by your Nazi-loving buddies. Tell that to the millions of people who could have used the money Captain Fuckbunch gave to billionaires instead.

Trump is a piece of shit who almost destroyed the Republic. Why do dickheads like you think that was a good thing?

    • meatball says:

Trump has literally disparaged every single agency in the US government why is it such a stretch to believe he disparages one more?

  2. Alby says:

Nothing says pathetic like someone saying, “But what if, just this once, he isn’t lying his fat ass off?”

  3. Trump called James Mattis ‘the world’s most overrated general’:

    https://www.militarytimes.com/news/pentagon-congress/2019/10/17/trump-blasts-mattis-as-the-worlds-most-overrated-general/

Trump on John Kelly, who Trump suspects might have leaked part of the story:

““I know John Kelly, he was with me, didn’t do a good job, had no temperament and ultimately he was petered out,” Trump told reporters at a White House press briefing.

“He got — was exhausted. This man was totally exhausted, he wasn’t even able to function in the last number of months. He was not able to function. He was sort of a tough-guy. By the time he got eaten up in this world — it’s a different world than he was used to, he was unable to function.”

But he’s telling the truth about everything else regarding this story. Right. On this story, Trump hangs himself every time he opens his mouth.

  4. Brian McGlinchey is neck-deep in the Maggie Jones labor shit. The News Journal established the link between the Laborers and the effort:

“The money was funneled through Growing Economic Opportunities, which is tied to New Jersey Laborers PAC, a political arm of the Laborers’ International Union of North America.

I went to the Delaware Public Integrity Commission website, and typed in ‘Laborers’. The following came up:

Delaware Laborers Employers Corporation and Education Trust
    Laborers & Employers Cooperation EducationTrust
    Laborers Eastern Region Fund Inc
Laborers International Union of N.A., Eastern Region
LABORERS’ INTERNATIONAL UNION OF NORTH AMERICA, LOCAL 55
    Laborers Local 199
    Laborers Union Local 1029
    Laborers Union Local 199
    Laborers Union Local 55

The lobbyist of record for EVERY SINGLE ONE of those listings is Brian McGlinchey. Brian McGlinchey and James Maravelias are behind the effort to oust Meyer. An enterprising reporter ought to ask them why, and why they’re trying to hide what they’re doing. It’s not b/c they love them some Maggie Jones.

Not to mention, OK, I’ll mention it, McGlinchey is also a lobbyist of record for the Delaware Association of Realtors who, wittingly or otherwise, are part of the pass-thru scheme. An enterprising reporter might want to ask someone from the Delaware Association of Realtors if they are/were aware of this scheme.

    • mediawatch says:

Just a thought: McGlinchey’s wife owes her career to Mike Purzycki. Purzycki and Meyer aren’t bosom buddies. Purzycki sees Maggie as one who will more easily roll over in his favor on city-county issues.

  5. MarkH says:

Re: Arizona. Maybe. I also am relieved that I won’t be seeing his endless commercials 🙂
I think it’s possible that the R’s in general may have decided that McSalley isn’t winning (last I looked she is more than 10 points behind) and they may be pulling their money to go elsewhere. I think it’s a mistake for him to pull his adds this early, as a lot of people (my wife and I included) will fill out our ballots and drop them off as SOON as we get them. If a lot of other voters do the same, a lot of Arizona will have voted before Trump runs more ads.
But really, if you haven’t decided between Trump and not Trump by now, you just haven’t been paying attention

    • John Kowalko says:

Actually if anyone hasn’t noticed by now that Trump is a unique type of subhuman species who cannot embrace any feelings of empathy for others is complicit in this sociopaths rampage against American democracy.
      Representative John Kowalko
