That was an apparent reference to mail-in ballots, which for months he has railed against, without evidence, as rife with fraud and likely to produce a delayed, tainted or outright illegitimate election result.

But you can shoot me in the leg and call me a dog-faced pony soldier if you can point to when Biden ever preached non-violence to the local PD, General Dynamics, AIPAC, or the Senate Armed Services Committee.

I saw this emblazoned on CNN’s front page and elsewhere last night and that made my blood boil. Not because it is what Drumpf said, but because – yet again – we see the the mass media being played by Drumpf. They NEVER LEARN. This is his method. Say something outrageous, news outlets run around “look at what he said! look at what he said!”, his loyalists don’t give a crap and even get stoked, and legitimate news and commentary gets pushed to the side. Free goddamn publicity EVERY-DAMN-TIME!
News flash – It doesn’t matter what Drumpf says he will or won’t do. Laws are laws. I highly doubt anyone is going to go to the mat for this guy by committing felonious election fraud. And if he loses, he’s out. He has few friends in the intelligence or military leadership. He can leave voluntarily or be perp-walked out by the secret service, his call.
For the love of god, would the media just say “Yeah, Drumpf said some stupid stuff. Again. Meanwhile, Louisville is under lockdown because of Breyonna Taylor’s grand jury results and COVID just passed 200,00 deaths, including a 28 yr OB GYN in Texas. More on that…”

Behind the pants-pissing is an assumption that every Republican office-holder will participate in the overthrow of a democratically elected government.

You are obsessed with predicting the future. I don’t play that game, for the simple reason that there’s nothing in it for me. I don’t win a prize if I’m right, I don’t suffer anything if I’m wrong. It’s the mental equivalent of worry beads.
My hope does not rest on Republicans. My hope is based on the demonstrable fact that a significant majority of the people are not in favor of this, and a belief that this majority will not sit still for it.
You know what I don’t hear from you folks? That you’re going to engage in armed resistance, which is the logical end point of your dystopian fantasies.
