MAGA Logic

“All my businesses lose money and I’m $400 million in debt because I’m a great business man. The greatest.”

Trump ran for President to rehabilitate his failing entertainment brand. He is the classic dog that caught the car.

The Rude Pundit:

@rudepundit

Essentially, Trump is a gambling addict. He made a ton of money and then just pissed it all away on shitty, worthless properties he thought would pay off. He’s no different than a poor bastard at the track.

Why I could never be a rich fuck: I couldn’t conceive of paying a tax attorney to come up with byzantine layers of schemes to avoid me paying a small percentage of my vast wealth to make sure we have roads and firefighters and shit. ‘Cause I’m not a dick.

  1. Ben says:

    Who cares?
Everyone already knew this about him. His followers will wait with baited breath to find out if they think this is a lie or think it makes daddy smart. Probably both.

    • jason330 says:

This doesn’t move any voters, but it is nice that this shit is getting out.

      • Alby says:

You don’t know that. You really, really don’t know that.

If you two can read the future, why ain’t you rich?

Now do me a favor and don’t tell me what I think, because as clear as I make it, you still misinterpret it. So why the everloving fuck should I listen to what you say about what other people think?

I’m not saying it will make a difference. I’m saying I don’t know that, and neither do you.

        • Ben says:

alby….. dude. are you really arguing for making every prediction in a vacuum without considering any prior events? Like these are getting close to some Glenn Beck “im not SAYING obama eats babies… we DONT KNOW AND IM JUST ASKING IF” leaps of logic. If forced hysterectomies and 200k+ dead americans arent moving the needle, why would anything?

but i guess you’re right. this MIGHT JUST MAKE that 35% of the nation who hates taxes, loves tax a voidance, loves upsetting liberals and wants to see a holocaust… it JUST MIGHT make them abandon trump. that totally sounds plausible.
Just please say you still trust scientific predictions about global climate collapse.

          • Alby says:

If it makes 77,000 people not vote for Trump, that’s enough. And you don’t know jack shit about how any individual will view it.

You’re a sniveling baby. Buy a binky and shut up.

You keep making this incredibly stupid analogy. Climate science is just what it says — science. It’s based on data.

Your constant predictions of doom are not.

            • Ben says:

              im a baby?
Im not the one stamping my feet telling people that predictions… (which are not statements of fact) based on mountains of information… are fake or insane.

What are you even disagreeing with here? that people already knew this? He admitted to it BEFORE the last election? this isn’t even new news.
The only thing that has ever cost him support is failing to escalate or choosing not to act like a despot. There is literally no point in trying to chip away his support. The only thing that will save us is massive voter turnout on election day. Any plan that doesn’t focus on that might as well be surrender.
I didnt even “predict doom” this time. I just said this not-new news wont do a damn thing to his support and you know that.

              • Alby says:

“I just said this not-new news wont do a damn thing to his support and you know that.”

No, I don’t, and neither do you. It might, it might not. Polling will give us a clue, but of course the news has barely sunk in yet.

I’m disagreeing with your superpower of knowing what will happen ahead of time. And with your constant Debbie Downer act.

As I said, you can’t even understand what I’m saying, yet you claim to know how all Trump’s voters will respond to this report. I’ve never said your predictions were fake or insane. I’m saying they’re pointless, except as a barometer of your mental state.

There was a TV ad they were running during Premier League games for a betting site. The ads consisted of a guy checking his cell phone and saying, “I knew it! I knew [his team would win the game].”

This is the wellspring of making predictions — the thrill of saying “I was right! I knew it!”

If that’s the thrill you’re going for, you’re wasting your abilities here. Go to a betting site and put your money where your mouth is.

              • Ben says:

so no discussion of the future that doesn’t involve positive outcomes allowed in Alby’s Good Vibes Only club. got it.

Again, yes i know this isnt new news. I heard him …. as did the world.. say that evading taxes makes him smart. I get that it’s hard to be a contrarian when you’re fighting against people who are stating some pretty deep and depressing shit. I bet it gets frustrating.

              • Alby says:

And yet we now have the receipts. This is the difference between “knowing” something because the evidence points that way and knowing it because you now have the data.

I am fighting against fascism. I’m frustrated because you’re acting as a fifth column.

              • Ben says:

part of the fight against fascism is to NEVER FUCKING STOP pointing out what they are doing. I dont care if it depresses people. acting like we arent in imminent threat of collapse takes the pressure off of people to fight. It is the same motivation behind climate change. unless we all accept how real the danger is…. and recognize that nothing matters more than stopping it… not even our own mental health.. they will win.

              • Alby says:

But whenever someone points out what they’re doing, you claim it doesn’t matter. Sounds like you’re doing the opposite of what you claim to be doing.

        • jason330 says:

FWIW – I do think this story nudges the needle in Biden’s direction tick. I just don’t think there are any undecided voters in the classic sense.

The only undecideds are people who wake up on election day and haven’t decided if they are going to vote at all. In 2016 those undecideds were would be Clinton voters.

if this news causes some Trump voters to say “fuck it. It’s raining.” I’m all for it.

          • ben says:

I dont think there are many.. if any…tepid trump voters.
Obama had a budding cult of personality that he allowed to wither and die…. good. Trump has spent 4 years jerking off his supporters fascist dreams. Turns out they make up 35% of the voting public. It’s the largest voting block that exists.
They will all crawl over broken glass to vote twice for trump. I have a racist uncle who’s full intention is to vote in PA by mail, then go to the polls on election day and see if he can still vote. Im trying to get him to state it in writing so i can turn his klanny ass in lol…

  2. jason330 says:

Here is some MAGA logic I see going around, “Trump is smart to have really good accountants.”

This defense of Trump illustrates how completely these broke-ass, lossers have internalized the notion that they are broke-ass losers because it is the natural order of things.

It is an oddly unAmerican outlook. They are committed lick-spittles and peons who equate wealth with virtue.

    • Alby says:

Classic liberal mistake: See what loudmouths (and for all you know Russians) are saying, pretend it represents the thinking of everyone on the Republican side.

      • Ben says:

dude, have you ignored every poll for the last 4 years? there is always 30-35% who are fully with whatever trump is selling.

        • Alby says:

Yes, there are. Look up how many people won elections with a base that small. Get back to me when you find one.

          • ben says:

you are again making the mistake of assuming trump intends to stay in power by winning the majority of votes.

            • Alby says:

I really don’t give a flying fuck what Trump intends. His intent is not the issue.

What people do in response is the issue. You do not know what that will be, nor do I. That’s the fact. All else is speculation.
