Month finished up strong. Turned into a great musical month. The rare A to Z month. Something for everybody, as usual:
Woo-hoo! I beat Alby to this one. Sure it’s from about 27 years ago. However, I had never heard it before. Just released in a boxed collection. To me, it’s one of the best songs of his solo career:

I’ve felt that I should like Adrienne Lenker more than I do. This is the first song of hers that has broken through to me. Maybe ’cause it sounds like a Bon Iver cut:

FINALLY! She’s back:
That Fagen song was released back in 1993 as a B-side to “Tomorrow’s Girls” but left off the album, allegedly because it didn’t fit the album’s theme.
I REALLY like that ARTEMIS. Thanks for sharing it.
They’re a rarity: an all-female jazz ensemble. Which wouldn’t matter if they weren’t great.
