Trump’s Last-Ditch Move To Destroy The Civil Service.  This could mean hundreds of firings the day before Biden takes office because…the career employees weren’t loyal to Trump.  He is Evil Incarnate.

Well, I Guess It Made His Hands Look Larger.  The downsizing of the Presidency.

$3 Mill Well-Spent.  Trump-funded recount in Milwaukee widens Biden’s margin of victory.  Federal court rules Trump’s Pa. election-fraud suit as having ‘no merit’.  Which is as good a description of his Presidency as possible.  All three judges are Republicans, one of whom was appointed by Trump. ‘Zombie litigation’ indeed.

Taiwanese Legislators Show, Throw, Guts.  They’re only gutless when they run out of pigs’ intestines to hurl at their enemies. (Just one more sentence I never expected to write.)

Rethugs Re-Morph Into Deficit Hawks To Destroy Biden Initiatives.  After lining their supporters’ pockets over the last four years.  Dog Bites Man.  Next in line to chair the Senate Budget Committee if R’s prevail in Georgia?  Lindsey Graham.

What do you want to talk about?

The Pope — who is probably more Catholic than Amy Coney Barrett but I’m not sure — even agrees with COVID restrictions: https://friendlyatheist.patheos.com/2020/11/28/pope-francis-we-shouldnt-oppose-covid-restrictions-in-the-name-of-freedom/

Key response on Twitter from Laura Bassett: https://twitter.com/LEBassett/status/1332390818565550083 — “I love how Republicans tried to say that anyone who expressed concern about Amy Coney Barrett’s religious zeal infusing her decisions was “anti-Catholic,” and then the freaking pope took our side.”

As ever the Republicans will attempt to do as much damage as they can before losing power, yet another failure of the electoral system that the losers retain power for nearly four months after defeat. In addition a reminder that the government is only as good as the men and women in it. And as ever the Republicans piss money away on endless war and tax cuts for the rich, then promptly claim to want fiscal responsibility. Can I get a HA?
