‘No Realistic Path’…to $2000 relief checks.  There is, of course, a path.  Requires a Democratic Senate, though.

Sen. Perdue Made His Bones By Outsourcing Work To China.  Now claims he wants to end our ‘reliance on China’.  These two senators are so fucking corrupt, but the D’s suck at nailing them on this stuff.

Welcome To Your Post-Presidency, Donald.  You’re gonna be neck-deep in criminal and civil litigation. Sad.

Fed Vaccine Rollout A Disaster.  Promise 40 million doses by year’s end, provide 14 mill.  Trump sez it’s the states’ responsibility.  Uh, not if they can’t get the doses.

Biden Vows To Move Quickly On Judges.  There are some 43 district court vacancies.  See Item 1 above.

NH R Governor Cancels Inaugural Ceremony…because of armed protesters opposed to his mandatory mask policy.

How Trump And Azar Destroyed HHS Even Before Covid.  Reaching across the aisle to your old college buddy was far from a rousing success, was it, Chris?  Betcha the 340,000 dead won’t come up at your next college reunion. A must-read.

Was The Secret Service Politicized?  Looks like some in the Secret Service leadership think so, and are taking steps to address it before Biden becomes President.

WHO WANTS TO JOIN OUR TEAM?: We are especially looking for someone to write the Open Thread.  With (hopefully) a normal General Assembly cycle this year, I want to get back to complete legislative coverage, and I just want time to do some more long-form pieces in 2021.  Not to mention, I plan to return to work on Feb. 1.  You can bring your own ideas for formatting and what you want to cover to the Open Thread, it’s entirely up to you.  DD over at Blue Delaware has a completely different approach, as do Al and Jason right here when they fill in. Hey, you can also write other stuff as well.  Interested? Drop a message at the tip line, and we’ll follow up.

Here’s hoping that 2021 brings a return to normal life.  Not just because of Covid, but because the relentlessness of the Trump years has impacted us in ways we won’t even understand until we’re at least rid of him.

What do you want to talk about?
