DL Style Guide Updates

First Delco replaced “Delaware County, PA”.    It was cool.  It gave this quirky place its own branding.  Now we are seeing Montco in place of the tiresome writing out of  Montgomery County.  Like any copy…not as good as the original.

Seeing the writing on the wall,  we are getting ahead of the trend and jumping directly to: Newcco, Kenco, and Suxco.

Sucks to be you, Suxco.

  1. Suxco’s a keeper. Requires no embellishment.

MontCo (note the capital C) has been known as MontCo at least since I grew up there in the 1960s. It was needed because there are two Springfield High Schools in Pa., Springfield DelCo and Springfield MontCo.

I’ve used SuxCo for years. NCCo works better for New Castle, and Kent is short enough not to need an abbreviation.

Find Suxco to be iconic and perhaps the best definition of the area I have yet to encounter. Let is be done, let it be so.
