Ready for some boycottin’? Sure, Coca-Cola, but now comes word that Inspire Brands — a private-capital band of crookscompany that owns Jimmy Johns, Arby’s, Sonic, and Buffalo Wild Wings, as well as Dunkin’ Donuts, which it acquired for $11.3 billion in November, is bragging that it killed the $15 minimum wage. I’d like to boycott […]

Funny Republican Jokers

LANSING, Mich. — The leader of Michigan’s Republican Party referred to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and two other top Democratic elected women as “witches” that the GOP wants to “soften up” for a “burning at the stake” in the 2022 election.

He also joked about assassination when he was asked how to remove two GOP congressmen, Reps. Fred Upton and Peter Meijer, who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump.

Ron Weiser’s statements Thursday during a local Republican meeting, which are on video, were first reported Friday by The Detroit News.

Haha…

Oh someone tried to shoot them?

Thoughts and prayers.

Coons’ Likud Party Lost

Filed in National by on March 27, 2021 0 Comments

The final results of the fourth successive Israeli election are now in and the verdict is clear: Netanyahu lost. Or to put the matter more precisely, the results make it almost impossible for him to form a government. His bloc, which includes his Likud party and a group of far-right and religious parties, gained 52 seats.

Moscow Mitch Loses Kentucky Smelting Plant.  Sad: In 2019, Rusal announced its commitment to invest $200 million in the plant, which stirred up criticism as the decision came shortly after the U.S. Treasury Department lifted sanctions on Rusal and its parent company. A spokesman for Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, then majority leader, told the […]

Anybody else here a delegate to the state convention?

I have’t finished this podcast (patreon.com/Elsmere’s Top Minds), so I don’t know if Jordyn Pusey was able to fight her way through the bumptious stupidity of her RD’S old guard losers.

Also, just take a minute or two and really ponder the layers of odiousness captured by this book cover.  I mean …holy SHIT!   It is like the peice of concentrated evil in the last scene of time bandits.   I feel like Kevin right now.  “Mom, Dad. It’s evil.  Don’t touch it.”

Song of the Day 3/26: Labelle, “Lady Marmalade”

The National Recording Registry announced this year’s additions, ranging from a recording Thomas Edison made on a piece of tinfoil in 1878 to Kermit the Frog’s “Rainbow Connection.” The headline selection, though, was this smash hit that reached the top of the charts in 1975 when it was recorded by Labelle, the girl group led […]

Georgia Passes Unfathomably Racist Voter Suppression Laws.  As anti-democratic as it gets.  Stop minorities from voting, hang on to power.  Will Krysten Sinema and Joe Manchin stand with these blatant racists?  BTW, doesn’t get more symbolic than this.  Black legislator arrested for trying to attend signing ceremony, Looks Like Netanyahu’s ‘Victory’ Was No Victory At […]

I’m as anti-insurrection as the next guy, but I think the feds may be overreaching in the case of Sara Carpenter, 51, of Queens, who was arrested for entering the Capitol on Jan. 6. She cooperated with the authorities and turned over the clothing she was wearing when she was pepper-sprayed, as well as the […]

We’re seeing the forces arrayed against progressive legislation flexing their muscles. The Democratic forces.  The keys remain John Carney and Speaker Pete.  Carney acts like he’s not really paying attention to specific bills (‘ I’m looking forward the the debate on (fill in the blank)’.  As if.  Speaker Pete buries bills that Carney doesn’t want.  […]

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but ever since The Last Guy left DC the news has lacked the crisis-a-minute pace it maintained for four years. Say what you want about the voters of Arizona, at least they’re smart enough to be turned off by Kyrsten Sinema’s Joe Manchin impersonation. Her poll numbers back home […]

Krista Griffith – Back Away From the Fox News

Adopting GOP talking points to defend her vote doesn’t speak well of Griffith’s critical thinking skills.

Rep. Griffith defended her vote at the 12th RD Meeting last night, saying …she was worried about raising taxes on the rich and having them leave the state. She also thought the proposed rates in House Bill 64 were too high. Oh, those poor wealthy people. When will they get a break? Thanks, Krista, for buying into Republican talking points.
