“Protection” is a gun lovers favorite out here in the country, possibly as it’s the only pro gun argument they’ve got. Seems like the famed “It takes a good man with a gun to stop a bad man with a gun” has run it’s course, perhaps because it rarely, if ever , happens. In the mean time gun related slaughter seems to be heating up, even as the worthless corporate media ignores the massacre of the day at this point. I gave up after the slaughter of children at Sandy Hook resulted in no real attempt to stop it, let the bullets fly and blood flow, we deserve it.

  2. The violence in Jerusalem is taking place at clashes at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, described in news accounts as “Islam’s third-holiest site.”

I have little good to say about any religion, but one that ranks its shrines by holiness is some special kind of fucked-up.

    • Delaware Elitist

Sounds like our boy from the trailer park is an anti-semite.

        • Yeah, really. It could be taken as anti-Islam, but anti-Semitic? They aren’t very smart. In fact, they’re very stupid, as they insist on demonstrating over and over again.

Republicans are basically 2-year-olds, painting their bedroom walls with what they find in their diapers.

      • Dude, I live in Hockessin. Try to learn some facts. Try to think up something clever for a screen name. Try not to drool on your keyboard. And go swallow your gun.

  3. Vote May 11

School board elections tomorrow. Everyone get ready to contact 10-20 friends who live in Brandywine and Red Clay and urge them to vote for Kim Stock and Kecia Nesmith, respectively!

Please get off your duff and vote tomorrow, even if you don’t usually vote in school board elections. Especially in Red Clay and Brandywine. You don’t even have to be a registered voter – just bring ID that proves you are 18yo and live in the district.

Most schools are polling places (but not all). See here for polling locations and ID rules:

  4. The neo-Nazi movement in the U.S. is running into a problem — the only people who seem to care about it work in the media.

You can be forgiven for missing this weekend’s White Lives Matter rallies, considering they were again vastly outnumbered by counter-protesters, to the point where even the media couldn’t make anything of it.

Raw Story does have a nice rundown of the infighting among the slackjaws over who gets to run Turdtown:

    • Whoa, I just checked that out. There was a proposal for a soda tax? Let’s revive that one. We need a sugar tax, but if we have to start with soda, let’s get started.
