“We tried to bipartisanship very very very hard, but the bad Republicans were bad.”

Coons doesn’t give a fuck. He’s got his lifetime sinecure, so fuck you!

We’ll lose score of seats, but that will not change Coons’ life one bit. His daughter will still qualify for a safe, legal abortion if she ever needs one and he will still be the first call lazy DC talking head types make when they need some reach around the aisle happy talk.

And Who Is This Message For

“We” are all advanced politics knowers. I don’t think telling voters, “it’s not THE DEMOCRATS just SOME DEMOCRATS” is a winning message for most people.I want stuff I think is good to pass because I think it’s good, I also know that we’re one fairly likely death away from losing the Senate before that can happen, and one or two elections away from losing the whole damn country. B-b-but not OUR fault is probably not the 2022 campaign slogan I’d go with.

I agree with most things you say and agree Coons has got to go. He’s the worst “democrat” there is second only to maybe Manchin (?)
But I dont get the abortion tirade. What’s the correlation? Please elaborate so I can continue to agree cus most of your posts are on point.

Also a good reach around is always a good thing despite what side of the aisle it comes from. It also explains why the middle seat on a flight is the best. No aisle seat means more reach around opportunities

The abortion “debate” is like so many issues, something that is irrelevant to millionaires like Coons. He has a daughter, so issues like women’s heath should matter to him – but he literally couldn’t give a flying fuck because he is doubly insulated – once by his money and once by his status as an incumbent Senator.

Issues should matter to Coons but he really doesn’t give a fuck, and why should he? His goal is to be seen as a “reasonable” Democrat by the DC press. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING is subservient to that.

Once again you are spot on. I agree

Unfortunately the abortion “debate” is gonna be what it is with this Supreme Court. Well see.

I just thought it was a weird and nonlinear line of attack given that there are SO many things to hit him on that are actually in his purview.

Keep up the good work I’ll be back tomorrow morning to read on

The backlash to overturning RvW might be the only thing that saves the Dems in 2022

Roe v Wade is about to get overturned thanks to pansyass dems like Coons. Delaware will keep abortion legal.

      • jason330 says:

Roe v Wade stays, Roe v Wade goes… it doesn’t matter one bit if you are rich. Abortion will always be a safe, available and acceptable option for the wealthy.
