I was in a store yesterday and some asshole was yammering on about the “Nuremberg Code”  and how it meant that he didn’t  need to get vaccinated because the vaccine is experimental.  The Nuremberg Code seems to be everywhere these days as MAGA shitheads have embraced it as the ultimate legal defense for their assholery.

Like this guy, for example:

An Alabama man who called himself the ‘vaccine police’ told pharmacists at a Missouri Walmart that they will be ‘executed’ if they continued giving COVID-19 shots

He then stormed toward Walmart’s pharmacy and gleefully announced to the camera, “They just shut down.” The pharmacists understandably wanted nothing to do with the bad actor, so they locked their doors and put a “No Pharmacist on Duty” sign on their door. Keys taunted the staff for about 15 minutes before the police finally arrived. But they were useless. Keys, commanding center stage, just toyed with them while they stood like sad sacks waiting to be punched. “All I wanted to do was get the vaccine,” he lied, then threatened that this was a case of “discrimination.”

The regular police seem intimidated by the “vaccine police.” Although Keys aggressively harassed the pharmacy in the form of a banal stunt, in the end the officers simply turned around and walk away, while Keys said, “There we go. The officers finally stood down.” And thus, another Covidiot bully is emboldened — and dangerously emboldens.

Meanwhile back on planet earth: Requiring COVID-19 vaccination does not violate the Nuremberg Code because the vaccines aren’t experimental. All the vaccines approved for emergency use in the United States have already gone through clinical trials.

Bonus:  Isn’t it great how the police act like a bunch of pussies whenever a white guy yells at them about his “rights”.    Where is that ‘shoot first’ spirit then you need it?

The Unvaccinated Should Pay More For Health Insurance

One smart suggestion would leverage the capitalist muscle of health insurers. They should charge the unvaccinated higher premiums for coverage…

For those whose anti-vax stance is the child of a demented ideology, force them to choose between a shot in the arm or the wallet.

    Also… Democrats in disarray:

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and her leadership team struggled to round up the votes to move forward with a strategy to enact President Biden’s multi-trillion-dollar domestic agenda, ultimately opting to punt a key procedural vote until Tuesday.

After hours of negotiations, Pelosi late on Monday night failed to strike a deal with the leaders of a 10-member bloc of centrists who are demanding a vote on the Senate-passed bipartisan infrastructure bill before considering a budget resolution that paves the way for a $3.5 trillion spending plan to expand social support programs and combat climate change.

    “a 10-member bloc of centrists”

Centrists? Fifth column Republicans. And nobody would be happier to have Republicans take the House in 2022 than Chris Coons, who would no longer be faced with Democratic bills coming to the Senate.

One more for the karma pile. Thoughts and prayers:

“Today we are receiving a portion of the draft report from the election audit analysis team,” said Fann. “The team expected to have the full draft ready for the Senate today, but unfortunately Cyber Ninjas CEO Doug Logan and two other members of the five-person audit team have tested positive for COVID-19 and are quite sick.”

LMMFAO! (Laugh my motherfucking ass off!)

Note that as ever the police do nothing about the far right, their on the side of Fascists, Proud Boy and others and it shows. I have always seen “centrists” like Coons as closeted Republican conservatives uncomfortable in their Dem skin and ready to shed it at the right time. As for the asinine “Cyber Ninjas” their not sick, their working on their exit strategy and putting the final touches on a report that will be a combination of fantasy, propaganda and of course kissing Trump’s enormous ass.

Last night, the Indian River School District board passed a vote of no confidence in the governor, his staff and the Division of Public Health, and they asked that the governor to reconsider or revise his mask mandate. I’ll give IRSD credit for moving the meeting to the football stadium at Sussex Central to avoid the shit shows that other school board meetings have been this month. That’s about where the credit ends.

The vote passed with one dissenting vote from a guy who understands that maskless students would likely result in the school being closed soon after it opens.

Note the irony from another board member, who likely is not saying the same thing about the governors of Florida and Texas.

From the article: Board member James Fritz took issue with the Department of Education.

“My biggest issue is pretty much the fact that the governor and Dr. Bunting, who carries this order, have decided to take power away from the local school districts,” he said.

    • Alby says:

No, Jimbo, your biggest issue is you don’t have the balls to tell maskholes to sit down and shut up, and that they’re free to let their kids Zoom their classes for another year.

The same people who wanted everything to stay open are now the ones refusing to take a simple step that will keep everything open. You can’t fix stupid, but it’s getting hard to put up with such an overwhelming amount of it.

There are over 5,000 second home properties in the Freeman communities of Sea Colony , Bayside and Bear Trap alone. In the Bethany Fenwick area there are upwards of 20,000 second home properties. Indian River is awash in money and will continue to be,
