  1. I know a lot of people think we at Delaware Liberal are foolish for pressing for progressive rather than centrist policies. But we aren’t alone in identifying the Democratic centrists’ quivering caution as our biggest impediment.

From a WaPo article about Pennsylvania’s Democratic primary for the Senate investigating why Conor Lamb, centrist dream candidate, is trailing Lt. Gov. John Fetterman.

But these days, Democrats here say they want more than something to vote against; they want something to vote for. And many say they have found that in Fetterman.

“Conor Lamb is a good guy, but we’ve got enough lambs on our side, we need a lion,” said Jeffrey Phillips, 66, a retired electrician attending a recent Fetterman event. “We get in trouble because we are always picking guys we think can win.”

Lamb is a more conservative Coons, with less experience. He is more aligned to the outgoing Toomey than his own party. The current role he is in, is the most beneficial he can be to the party. He is a democrat is a toss up district, with voters there liking him.

Actually, Malcolm Kenyatta seems like the sharpest and most progressive of the three. But he wouldn’t win the general against against the creeps running for the republican nomination. Fetterman could win. People seem to like his populism. I’m not sure he’s up to the job, but he’s much better than the republican alternatives. Pennsylvania’s fucked up.

    • I’m not interested in who’s the most progressive — nothing progressive is going to get done in the US Senate with him or without him. I’m interested in electing somebody who recognizes we’re in a war and will take the battle to the enemy.

I believe that’s what we have in Fetterman and I’ve donated to his campaign and will do so again.
