‘Bulo’s Fave Tunes: October 2022

Filed in Arts and Entertainment, Featured by on November 1, 2022

Surprisingly strong set o’ tunes this month, especially considering that I don’t include any new songs that are on albums that won’t be released until 2023:

Could the lead-off song possibly be Nathan Arizona’s Fave Of The Month?  A distinct possibility.

Wow.  This gives me chills.  Andrew Bird, Phoebe Bridgers, and Emily Dickinson:

Ashley McBryde’s new album ‘Lindeville’ reminds me of Spoon River Anthology,  with different singers playing the parts of various townsfolk.  The title track (narrated by the clock in the Town Square) makes me want to listen to the entire album:

Jazmine!!

What better way to close out this month than with Jamila Woods?:

Do any of these acts get airplay, other then college radio?

“Sunsign” — Good call. I have it tied with the one by Westerman. Also like the Jamila Woods a lot, and Alex Williams for when I’m in a country music mood, which seem to be a lot these days.

  3. Sure. Ashley McBryde and Alex Williams get played on country stations, Jamila Woods and Jazmine Sullivan get played on R & B stations.

I find these songs in a lot of places.

And, just to be clear, Triple AAA and college stations are not the same thing.

Finally, does it matter WHERE the songs get played if they’re good? Not sure what point you’re making.
