How’d My Predictions Fare?
I said I wasn’t going to make predictions, but I did. And I was pretty fucking close.
I said Burns was going to beat Ramone by 5 votes and was wrong but by only 40 votes. I’d have preferred to be wrong by 40 going the other way, but still a pretty good prediction.
I said Ruxstable was going to defeat the Smirk by 63 votes. He won by about 963. So again my political prognostication is peerless.
I said I thought there might be a secret Blue Wave and that prediction was spot on as well.
I stand by my observation that Ramone will survive until he no longer has the tacit support of Dem leadership. Maybe that happens now.
On the national level, you’d think after Republicans tried to violently overturn the US government, the next election would be a historic rout like the post-Watergate election. Maybe the fact that it was not a historic rout means that the red wave actually did happen.
