Just for fun, I boldfaced those who don’t live in Delaware.  Almost all of the Buccini/Pollins, plus several others.

Now, kids, you might be asking yourselves, El Som, are you just cherry-picking?  Why are all these dates so close together?  So glad you asked. The reason why the dates are so close together is because (drum roll) the committee was only officially established on August 9, 2021.  Meaning, all these contributions came in from that date to the end of that year.  I shudder to think what I’ll find when I go back in time.

Ladeez and Gentlemen, YOUR Official NCC Development $$ Money-Grubber:  Would-Be Governor MATT MEYER!

Congratulations, Matt.  Just one question: What are they paying you for?

  1. BTW, I’ve tried to correct any misspellings. However, these were taken directly from the campaign finance report, so don’t blame me.

  2. I needn’t have asked what the developers get in return.

The General Assembly has granted to the County Executive virtually unfettered power over land use decisions.

Nearly everything, and every discretionary decision, is made by the Executive Branch’s Department of Land Use. The General Manager is appointed and answers directly to the County Executive. Council gets nothing until the decision is made and a report submitted, where if it is not a “by right plan,” which is rare (i.e., rezoning), Council can vote to approve or deny the final record plan.

Even the Planning Board is an executive branch organization under Delaware Code.

In other words, the General Assembly has tied County Council’s hands. Not that it matters if a sufficient number of councilpersons have been bribed. Hmmm, the General Assembly would do well to take a closer look at this…

  3. Arthur says:

    But, WEGMANS!!!

  4. Nancy Willing says:

Hey! Thanks for this post. I will certainly augment the sentiment with some more material when I get the chance. Meyer is Pay to Play through and through and is as Transactional as Trump. The dots are there to connect as I’ve been painfully aware.

Closing in on age 65 in a few weeks has kept me distracted with doctor appts and searching for the best healthcare options.

Also too, my primary care’s receptionist asked if I was getting Medicare Advantage saying it was a pain in the ass to get them to pay their bills. I’m not.
