A ‘once in a generation’ winter storm will impact nearly every state (for the 11th time this year)

Sorry CNN and all TV weather people.  Your credibility is currently at Trump administration levels.  And making up menacing sounding shit like “bomb cyclone” and “thunder snow” doesn’t help.

A major winter storm and cold blast will impact nearly every state and bring what the National Weather Service is calling a “once in a generation type event” that will cripple travel on some of the busiest travel days of the year.

The strengthening storm will bring more than a foot of snow and possible blizzard conditions to the Midwest, as the weather service warns of “life-threatening” wind chills for millions.

As noted everything is hyped and “sold”, weather included. Hard not to notice that “the storm of the century” comes around every few years. To which I add Take That Mid West!

Ah the weather reader – the only profession where you can be wrong, people expect you to be wrong, laugh when you are wrong, keep your job every time you are wrong and depending in the market you’re in can make big bucks being wrong.

I wonder how much climate change denialism stems from weather readers making asses out of themselves (and by extension out of climate science) on the daily?
