The New York Democratic Party should just be closed down, the assets (if any) auctioned off

How did they miss this?

Yesterday I joked — well, maybe half-joked? — that with all we’ve learned about Rep.-Elect George Santos, is he even gay? Being an “openly gay” Latino Republican has been a central part of his campaign pitch. He doesn’t fit the mold of a Trumper and that, he argues, “scares the left.” Now, it’s a fairly complicated and inevitably subjective and personal matter whether someone is gay or straight. But The Daily Beast managed to dig up the fact that until just two weeks prior to announcing his run for office he was married to a woman.

Having grown up in that area I find him a complete and utter fraud, but as we have the usual corrupt and incompetent politicians right here, right now, I feel as if I have missed nothing.

Hes going to be excellent campaign fodder for 2024.
Chances of keeping the senate are fucking bleak, so picking up those house seats is vital.

Presidency is a jump ball as far as I can tell.

(Online Betting Markets) showed DeSantis holding a substantial lead over Trump, with the Florida governor coming in at 27 percent to 27.8 percent and the former president at 18.2 to 18.5 percent.

President Biden sits below both Republicans in the 2024 presidential odds, with 15.2 percent, although he was up 3 percent from the day before.

All this means is that the Electoral College is killing the Democracy.

Cryptocurrency was a betting market, too. How’d that work out?

A political betting market isn’t good for much except illustrating conventional wisdom.

Agree. I stopped paying attention when HRC was listed as a prohibitive favorite to bear Trump.

        Just looking now for giggles.

Long time hater of the Electoral College, always saw it as a last ditch effort to thwart the will of the people and nothing more, also hated that it gave greater “weight” to the votes of those in rural and sparsely populated states. It’s a reminder that democracy was not all that popular with the hyper rich men of that era as the founders were the billionaires of their day.
