Saudi Murderer Rescues Trump & Kushner From Financial Ruin:

In early 2021, as Donald Trump exited the White House, he and his son-in-law Jared Kushner faced unprecedented business challenges. Revenue at Trump’s properties had plummeted during his presidency, and the attack on the U.S. Capitol by his supporters made his brand even more polarizing. Kushner, whose last majorbusiness foray had left his family firm needing a $1.2 billion bailout, faced his own political fallout as a senior Trump aide.

But one ally moved quickly to the rescue.

The day after leaving the White House, Kushner created a company that he transformed months laterinto a private equity firm with $2 billion from a sovereign wealth fund chairedby Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Kushner’s firm structured those fundsin sucha way that it did not have to disclose the source, according to previously unreported details of Securities and Exchange Commission forms reviewed by The Washington Post. His business used a commonly employed strategy that allows many equity firms to avoid transparency about funding sources, experts said.

A year after his presidency, Trump’s golf courses began hosting tournaments for the Saudi fund-backed LIV Golf. Separately, the former president’s family company, the Trump Organization, secured an agreement with a Saudi real estate company that plans to build a Trump hotel as part of a $4 billion golf resort in Oman.

The substantial investments by the Saudis in enterprises that benefited both mencame after they cultivated close ties with Mohammed while Trump was in office — helping the crown prince’s standing by scheduling Trump’s first presidential trip to Saudi Arabia, backing him amid numerous international crises and meeting with him repeatedly in D.C. and the kingdom, including on a final trip Kushner took to Saudi Arabia on the eve of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack.

I know, Dog Bites Man. But still…

Wishy-Washy Senate D’s Delay Extremely-Important FCC Nomination.   She’s an ‘an out lesbian and would be the first openly gay FCC commissioner.’  Meaning, she’s been targeted as a ‘groomer’ by her opponents:

Gigi Sohn, who was first nominated in October 2021 to complete the FCC’s lineup of five commissioners, was recently the target of articles by DailyMail.com and FoxNews.com that sought to connect her work with a leading digital rights group to sex trafficking and a dominatrix. Sohn is on the board of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, or EFF, a widely respected nonprofit that advocates for privacy and free expression online.

Those articles came after what has been a particularly long wait to have Sohn approved by the Senate, and they’ve triggered growing outrage.

“The press stories ginned up by Ms. Sohn’s opponents are beneath scurrilous and are beneath the dignity of this Committee,” wrote Preston Padden, a former president of ABC Television Network and a founding executive of Fox Broadcast Co., in a recent letter to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation.

Tired North Carolina D Losership Swept Out In Youthquake.  The Usual Suspects backed the ossified incumbents.  Lost:

North Carolina Democrats sent a message to the state party’s establishment: the party needs better leaders.

Members of the North Carolina Democratic Party on Saturday ousted their sitting chair, first vice chair, and second vice chair, voting instead to elect new candidates to the top four leadership positions.
Richardson, 73, campaigned for reelection with the support of the party’s top elected officials, including Gov. Roy Cooper, Attorney General Josh Stein and U.S. Rep. Wiley Nickel, among others. Nonetheless, Richardson became the first sitting party chair in at least a decade to lose a reelection bid.
Progress.

Laughably, Trump (wholly owned by MBS) is going after DeSantis as a globalist.

Always remember that Trump’s target is people who have no idea what the political terms mean, but then neither does Trump. As long as the Republicans can get a rise out of rural areas with Socialism, Comma-nism (In the vernacular ) and assorted racial “dog whistles” the game goes on. My fave? Poor MAGATS that get by with Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and food stamps. As for the Saudi’s they are merely doing what America’s “mega donors” have been doing for many decades, trying to buy politicians, elections and the real target of laws and regulations they don’t like.
