AP (Wilmington DE) – Fox News appears to be hinting at a possible defense strategy in response to the Dominion voting lawsuit opening this week, according to sources within the Wilmington legal community. The embattled news network is reportedly planning to argue that no reasonable person would take the commentary of hosts Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson or Bret Baier seriously. One lawyer close to the case has revealed that Fox News has prepared hours of programming to support the argument that their network is a “long form parody” known within Murdoch’s Newscorp as “This Ain’t News, Fox News.” The network appears to be drawing a comparison between its programming and protected speech such as pornographic parodies, which are considered satire. h/t Nemski.
