Coons thinks we should talk to the good Republicans on the debt limit, but not because they are holding hostages (or something).  Maybe you can figure it out.   Here’s a link.

Other then feel good platitudes what is the appeal of Coons for the Delaware electorate? I would think there’s a limit to “keep your sunny side up” at some point, but realize that far too many Delawareans seem to eat it up and live in happy ignorance of what’s actually going on. Sometimes I console myself and remember at least it beats hell out of a red state, western Sussex excluded.

    • He’s a senator only b/c Christine O’Donnell defeated incumbent Mike Castle. In fact, he was comfortable being the sacrificial lamb. Too bad it didn’t work out like that…Castle would be gone by now, and any D would have been better than Coons.

Living in a still rural area of Delaware (For now) was witness to the stupidity that helped defeat Castle and elevated O’Donnell to be the Republican candidate. Admit to having enjoyed seeing Castle defeated and had a long sad laugh at what happened. Yes, Coons is perhaps the worst, if for no other then his constant embrace of the Republicans, and there’s no fixing it. Yet, perhaps the inflow of out of staters will change that, a bright side to everything it would seem.
