The hospital bombing in Gaza has convinced his handlers that Joe Biden won’t meet with Arab leaders in Jordan on his Middle East trip today. I’m not sure how yet, but the media is sure to conclude this is bad news for Biden.

The Previous Guy, meanwhile, is bad news for everyone he comes into contact with, even by proxy. The incompetent fuck, desperate to pretend he’s innocent, has sued Christopher Steele of Russia dossier fame in England, hoping that that fucked-up nation’s libel laws will – I dunno, make him look innocent? Steele testified yesterday that material Fat Donny declassified led to the disappearance of two Russian sources. I’m sure there’s a reason the big-mouthed dotard shouldn’t be executed for treason, but I can’t for the life of me figure out what it might be.

The Republican Party can’t stop itself from embracing the worst humans our fucked-up nation can produce, yet one of the worst, wrestler molester enabler Jim Jordan, found himself 20 votes short in his bid to become Speaker of the House of Deplorables. He’ll try again today in hopes that whatever moral scruples those 20 people possess will have evaporated overnight.

Sadly for the country, the Republican Party is made up of nothing but terrible people, like this New Jersey state senator who thinks not just abortion but birth control should be illegal, too. Ever notice that so-called “religious fundamentalists” mostly concern themselves with the sex other people are having? The GOP is what you get when you let such “religious fundamentalists” – the rest of us know them as “pervs” – fund and power a political party.

The main reason to worry about Trump’s 2024 chances rests with election fuckery, which is why it’s a big deal that his election-stealing cronies got their hands on some voting machines, which could enable them to change votes.

Possessing copies of voting system software enables hackers, thieves, and even foreign governments to install it on their own computers, create replicas of the voting systems, probe them for weaknesses, and develop ways to exploit vulnerabilities. Having a copy of the voting software is a boon for malicious actors. An attacker could use it to fabricate evidence of stolen votes to advance disinformation or support election deniers who baselessly challenge election results.

So now you have that to worry about. The floor’s yours.

    We’re rolling back government!

Walmart businessman announces GOP bid for Delaware’s open US Senate seat

He said government needs to act more like a private business.

“In business, you expect the business to get more efficient every single year. It’s not uncommon to cut spending by 3% a year just because you’re getting better at your job, the government never does that.”

Given that my comment from yesterday, was “moderated,” (I get it…only writers of this blog can call out the corruption of state legislators…) I will stay on the straight and narrow.

Not mentioned today, yet…. Israel did not destroy a Gaza hospital.

    • It wasn’t moderated. It was in the trash. When we don’t trash it, we can only assume that the author trashed it.

I can post it if you want.

BTW, we don’t know that Israel did not destroy the hospital. Nobody does.

I know you are honorable…and I appreciate it.

I believe national news is now reporting…proof that the rocket came from Gaza and is a misfire…. A terrible situation…. Mistake….

        • Would you like me to post the trashed comment?

          • Interesting says:

Please…. We must further expose these frauds; however, my method of dealing with them will be very different then these readers…

You see…even if I am a Republ…..republ…. God…I cant even say it…. I would rather vote AGAINST the R; if the D or I is supported by the Ds and I and WPA. I may never agree with you, but these corrupt people must go.

So I am an old fossil republican…no one seems to want to be a Socially Liberal Republican anymore.

In a tweet, Naftali claimed IDF responsibility for the air strike that destroyed that hospital. Then he deleted it when everyone rightfully lost their minds over it. But screen grabs exist…

        • ben says:

Naftali isnt in the government, so would have no actual knowledge…. he is infact a youtube person and therefor has the same “inside intel” as Baked Alaska or Alex Jones.
Odd how you left out that fact.

          • ben says:

it is funny how the “left” leaning social media sites all gleefully ate up this talking point…. and are ignoring the mounting evidence.

i guess (((we’re))) all the same and all speak for each other.

    Let’s Walmartize Delaware!

I’m not sure it is going to have the appeal he thinks it does.

  4. DOWN Goes Jordan! Anti-Jordan votes grow from 20 to 22.

There’s talk of trying to give the Acting Speaker more power, but I think it will depend on R’s making some common cause with D’s.

Anyway, the House has adjourned to reconvene, uh, when?

The perverse genius of the nihilists in control of the Republican party is this: By causing a gradual systemic breakdown of the entire system, they are destroying faith in the liberal democracy that impedes the empowerment of an authoritarian white Christian nationalist minority government.

The paradox of the moment is this: if a radically dysfunctional democratic — or “democratic” — process empowers a party that is dedicated to the destruction of democracy going forward, what is the appropriate democratic — and Democratic — response to that?

      • puck says:

That is the Paradox of Tolerance:

The paradox of tolerance states that if a society is tolerant without limit, its ability to be tolerant is eventually ceased or destroyed by the intolerant. Karl Popper described it as the seemingly self-contradictory idea that in order to maintain a tolerant society, the society must retain the right to be intolerant of intolerance. Popper specified that the intolerance not to be tolerated involves the refusal to engage in “rational argument”.

Lost in all this… mostly by (non jewish) Americans on “both” sides is how hated Bibi is by Israelis.
    https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/whatever-unfolds-gaza-war-judgment-day-looms-netanyahu-2023-10-17/

There have been huge protests for months…. mostly ignored by the US media. It complicates the narrative too much i guess. This attack by Hamas is as good for netanyahu as 9/11 was for bush. He’s the Israeli trump and W in one putrid package. Ya’ll think it’s too easy for someone to lose the popular vote and still become head of state here? Israel is worse.

Rape images, racist chats: Evidence against ex-Smyrna detective facing child porn charges

    https://www.delawareonline.com/story/news/2023/10/18/smyrna-police-detective-michael-kealty-child-porn-charges/71214732007/

    My favorite part:

**The documents, obtained by Delaware Online/The News Journal, detail conversations found on Michael Anthony Kealty’s social media account, including one in November in which he offered someone on social media pictures of young girls from a football game where he was working overtime. The court documents also reveal a sexually charged conversation the 33-year-old had with a 16-year-old girl on his Snapchat account…”I’d rape that slutty [racial slur] like my ancestors did in NC back when America was great,” was one of the quotes attributed to Kealty in court documents.**
