As the seige of Gaza reached 100 days over the weekend, Netanyahu said, “No one will stop us, not The Hague, not the axis of evil and not anyone else.” I wish Biden would take that as a challenge, because I know just how he could stop them. Meanwhile, the Houthis in Yemen launched an attack on a U.S. warship in the Red Sea, which makes me think it’s not the U.S. that’s trying to turn this into a regional war.

I’ve been getting weather alerts for days about coastal flooding, one of the less-publicized problems wrought by global warming. Portland, Maine, provided a good example over the weekend, with the highest tide ever recorded there flooding streets and washing some historic buildings out to sea. Good luck with that waterfront property in SuxCo.

The Iowa school principal who suffered several gunshot wounds protecting students in the Perry High School shooting has died of his injuries. The gunman – gunchild, really – was 17, a reminder that it’s harder for a minor to get a pack of cigarettes than a gun.

Need a reason to never vote for Nikki Haley? Rand Paul, the Kentucky Shitbag, plans to campaign for her in New Hampshire. There’s nothing concrete so far, and if Haley has any sense she’ll tell this carpetbagging glibertarian to fuck all the way off before he reveals she’s not the moderate she pretends to be.

An MLK biographer contends that turning King into a national hero had the effect of blunting his radical message, including his strong critique of capitalism. It’s one thing to call for racial equality in America, but going after its true religion – Mammon-worship – is an unforgivable sin.

The floor’s yours.

  1. I look at that quote:

“No one will stop us, not The Hague, not the axis of evil and not anyone else..”, and if those aren’t the words of a war criminal, I don’t know what they are.

What will it take for Feckless Joe to stop sending him limitless supplies of weapons?

“What will it take for Feckless Joe to stop sending him limitless supplies of weapons?”

      A Trump presidency.

  2. Anon says:

Deeply unpopular Joe Biden will be lucky to be facing Trump.

Biden’s approval rating is just 33%, worse than Trump’s low as president (36%) and the lowest since George W. Bush from 2006-2008. Fifty-eight percent disapprove of Biden’s work.

Other than young people (who hate Biden because is Gaza, and student loan lies) it seems strange to me that he is so very unpopular.

    • puck says:

Lol… I don’t think “young people” are as pro-Hamas as you wish.

Biden has forgiven a lot of student loan debt through executive action. His broader program was shut down by the Supreme Court.

If “young people” want a better Supreme Court, they’re going to have to vote Democratic for a generation.

      • Andrew C says:

Right. Some *very online* clout-chasing young people are certainly anti-Israel… but once again, Twitter and TikTok are not real life. This will not translate to the ballot box when the time comes.

        Pro-Hamas. LOL.

My memory is a little hazy. Maybe you can remind me how yelling about the court has worked as a GOTV motivator for Democrats?

Which reminds me, the yoots also don’t like him for not codifying Roe as promised. I’m not saying they are voting for Trump. Just staying home in large enough numbers to matter.
