Dems To Pick Up House Seat In Louisiana. Not even the Rethugs had any choice but to support this:
Louisiana’s Legislature has passed a new congressional map, brushing off opposition from the Bayou State’s own Speaker Mike Johnson and positioning Democrats to pick up an additional seat in the midterms.
The Louisiana Legislature finalized the map Friday. GOP Gov. Jeff Landry is expected to sign it into law soon.
The new map was spurred by a 2022 federal court ruling that the state’s congressional lines likely violated the Voting Rights Act by diluting the voting power of Black Louisianans. The 2022 midterms, which used the soon-to-be-former map, saw five white Republicans and one Black Democrat elected in a state where Black residents represent roughly a third of the population.
The court ordered the state to draw a second majority-Black district. The Louisiana Legislature complied, sacrificing Rep. Garret Graves’ (R-La.) seat and drawing a new district that snakes from northwest Louisiana all the way down to East Baton Rouge.
Trump Resurrects ‘Birther’ Attack, This Time Against Nikki Haley:
Writing on Truth Social, Trump repeatedly referred to Haley as “Nimbra,” an apparent intentional misspelling of her birth name. Haley, whose parents moved to the United States in the 1960s, was born Nimarata Nikki Randhawa.
Reminiscent of his spurious claims about former president Barack Obama’s citizenship, Trump also last week spread a false “birther” claim about Haley when he shared a post on Truth Social from the Gateway Pundit, a far-right website that propagates baseless accusations.
His dementia continues apace–confuses Haley with Nancy Pelosi:

His dementia is scandalously under-reported. Especially since, as Dan Pfeiffer pointed out:
If Joe Biden had done this, it would lead every newscast in the country.
Former President Donald Trump and people in his inner circle have told down-ballot Republican candidates not to hire Republican strategist Jeff Roe or his political consulting firm after Roe worked to elect Ron DeSantis, according to four people familiar with the conversations.
The admonition against hiring Roe represents an attempt to choke off revenue for his consulting firm, Axiom, in an act of political retribution. Roe was a top strategist for the DeSantis super PAC, Never Back Down. Roe resigned in mid-December after the Washington Post published a story detailing backbiting at the super PAC.
The attempt to isolate Roe highlights the lengths to which Trump will go to enforce loyalty — and punish disloyalty — to him within the GOP. The former president is known to keep close tabs on which elected officials have endorsed him, how strongly they’ve expressed support and whether they stuck by him during low points.
Axiom is the country’s largest Republican political consulting firm. It was founded in 2005 and has nearly 400 employees across almost 20 individual firms that it owns as subsidiaries, according to Axiom. This cycle, the firm says it’s working for almost 500 statewide and down ballot candidates, including 100 current Republican House members or other GOP candidates for House seats, and almost a dozen candidates for Senate.
Great reminder that Trump destroys the Rethuglican Party along with everybody else.

As noted dementia is running it’s course for Trump and will not stop, know from bitter experience how to recognize the signs. The media is playing games and doesn’t dare say dementia, nor for that matter Fascist. And if Trump wants to attack his many perceived enemies in the Republican party all I can say is pick up the pace.
Not content to kill current Hama (everyone walking around), and future Hama (babies in incubators). Now we’re going after past Hamas (people Gaza cemeteries). I’m glad we are in the side of the good guys in this thing.

Yeah, I’m sure all of those innocent Palestinians being slaughtered and starved have the locations of the hostages in their address books. How about that genocidal maniac Netanyahu trading places with those hostages. He could be the “hero” he pretends to be and the world would finally be rid of one more murdering, power-obsessed, thug.

Continuing to not cover Trump’s obvious mental decline is getting awkward. If Biden confused Pelosi and Haley he would probably be forced to resign.
