‘Bulo’s Fave Tunes: January 2024

The songs are more mainstream this month, the artists less diverse.  Don’t know why, just worked out that way.  The good news?:  Some great songs in the mix, not a clunker in the bunch:

My daughters first saw Madi Diaz at a Young Friends event. She then opened a really neat Coffee House show at the Gild Hall with Carrie Rodriguez and Ben Sollee back in 2010.  Time for a Joe DelTufo photo:

OK, you try to choose between these two songs.  I can’t.  I only know that Alynda Lee Segarra is one of the most essential artists to come along in some time:

Don’t fight it–they’re really good. An easy, albeit lazy, pick as Nathan Arizona’s Fave Tune Of The Month:

It’s not just the future of music that’s female, it’s the present.  This month’s tunes are a great argument for that thesis:

I don’t know if there will be a better month of tunes all year.  At least, it’ll be hard to top.
