Coons Said What?

Filed in Coons by on December 21, 2025

This might be the least mealy-mouthed thing Chris Coons has ever said as a senator. He was on MSNOW, formerly MSNBC, to talk about the semi-release of the Epstein files, when he dropped this bombshell:

“There were some new photos released of different powerful men in and around the company of Epstein. One thing that I hadn’t seen before was the sort of big fake check of $22,000 to Epstein from Trump, with some reference to having sold a girl. I do think there’s more here, and it’s worth more investigations to get to the bottom of this and put this to rest and respect the victims.”

The hosts on the putatively left-leaning channel appeared shocked. The photo was actually released in September, so both Coons and the hosts were catching up to old news, but as someone accustomed to Coons avoiding controversy and spreading oil on troubled waters, the shock is that he brought it up at all.
