Even people who don’t follow politics are aware that Trump is passing out pardons to criminals who meet his criteria, and that the criteria are pecuniary. So you can understand why gangsta rapper Boosie Badazz thought he could buy a pardon.
He probably could have gotten something at Fat Donnie’s Pardon-Palooza if he had cozied up to the right people. Unluckily for him, he put his trust in felonious fraudsters Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman, whose names you might recall from attempted frame-ups of various Democratic politicians a few years back. They told Boosie – real name Torence Hatch – that they could procure one for him for $600,000.
To Boosie, who has an extensive criminal record and is facing 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine on a firearms charge, that sounded like a good deal. Unfortunately Wohl and Burkman did nothing except cash the check, so Boosie has sued to get $300,000 of the money back.
After a peak in the aughts, when he was known as L’il Boosie, a prison sentence interrupted Boosie’s career. When he got out in 2014 he changed his name to its current form. “Crazy” appeared that year. He should probably change his name again after this. Getting fleeced by a couple of well-documented con men, then screeching for help from right-wing nut jobs like Laura Loomer – let’s just say it’s a bad look for a badass.
