Our (Sometimes) Man In France Highlights Delaware’s Latest French Connection:

Right-wing podcaster Candace Owens is gloating over a partial legal win against France’s first couple, even though the fight is far from over.

Owens wrote in a post on X Tuesday that she was “in the absolute best mood over this Macron dismissal” after a Delaware judge removed her personally from the defamation lawsuit filed against her by French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron. The New York Times reported the ruling the same day.

“Feels like a year and a half of my family having to deal with psychotic lies regarding pending bankruptcies, secret accounts and plans to flee the country,” Owens wrote, adding that the ordeal was finally over.

Judge Sheldon K. Rennie of Delaware Superior Court found that his court lacked jurisdiction over Owens, who lives in Tennessee, and threw out every claim against her personally. Her two companies, Candace Owens LLC and GeorgeTom Inc., remain defendants. According to The Times, the decision makes it “likely that her personal assets would be shielded” if the Macrons ultimately win.

Owens is separately facing two defamation suits over her commentary on the killing of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk. Both cases, filed in federal courts in Tennessee and Utah, are still pending.

Rogue DOJ Continues Illegal Onslaught In Cali:

The Justice Department has opened a criminal investigation in California as it continues its effort to prove that as many as 20,000 noncitizens are on the state’s voter rolls, a U.S. official confirmed to NBC News on Thursday.

The official said the Justice Department has issued federal grand jury subpoenas to local election officials across the state. It’s unclear how many subpoenas were sent out and exactly who received them.

The new subpoenas follow a federal judge’s ruling Wednesday to deny the Trump administration’s request to segregate 20,000 mail ballots from alleged noncitizens in California, calling into question the accuracy of the administration’s process to identify such people.

Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder and County Clerk Dean Logan touted the decision Thursday.

“At every step, the U.S. Department of Justice has taken a confrontational, adversarial approach. Election officials are acting in accordance with state and federal law,” Logan said in a statement, adding that “clear court rulings” by both the federal judge and an appeals court have confirmed that.

Last week, Justice Department officials sent letters to 57 of California’s 58 counties warning local election officials to cooperate with federal investigations into illegal voting or face investigations themselves.

Hegseth Axes Another General.  Utter insanity from the Utterly Insane:

President Donald Trump weighed in on the firing of the Pentagon’s top military planner, calling him a man with “big problems” after a report suggested Army Lt. Gen. Brett Sylvia was removed over allegations of leaking classified information.

The dismissal emerged on Wednesday, when it was reported that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth abruptly fired Lt. Gen. Sylvia as Trump openly weighs launching fresh military strikes against Iran.

Fox News, citing a Defense Department source (isn’t that a leak?), reported that Sylvia failed three polygraph tests related to leaks before his dismissal.

Sylvia was also accused of meeting journalists despite Hegseth’s restrictions on media contact.

Let’s pause right there:  Both Trump and Hegseth have leaked like sieves, often over unsecure communications devices.  If Sylvia leaked, it was to let the public know what these two traitors were up to.

Speaking to reporters on the tarmac of Andrews Air Force Base en route to South Carolina for a campaign rally, Trump appeared to refer to Sylvia with the pronoun “She.”

“She’s got problems. She’s gonna have big problems. We’re very much looking for leakers,” the president said when asked about the firing.

The departure decapitates the Pentagon’s strategic planning hub at a perilous moment.

Typically, the J5 director and staff generate and coordinate major military plans directly with both the chairman of the Joint Chiefs and the president.

At least we now have the ‘best of the best’ making those decisions.

Crypto Hacked Yet Again:

The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange has been hit by an industry-record $6.3bn (£4.7bn) hack, with experts identifying North Korea as the likely culprit.

Binance has scrambled to freeze the affected assets, with about $3bn located so far. The company gave no update on the other $3.3bn as Binance’s co-founder Yi He said the company would cover “all hacking losses”.

Analysts attributed the attack to North Korean state-backed hackers. North Korea has a history of crypto hacking and was behind the theft of approximately $1.5bn in virtual assets from a Dubai-based cryptocurrency exchange last year, according to the FBI, in what was the previous record crypto heist.

Here’s something you just knew without even knowing it:

Binance was founded in 2017 by Changpeng Zhao, who in 2023 pleaded guilty to a felony in the US related to his failure to prevent money laundering on the platform and stepped down as CEO. Donald Trump pardoned him in 2025.
