Tyler Nixon on WDEL right now
Nixon is onto The City of Wilmington’s attempt to have a bill introduced to try to end run the Supreme Court and city voters to shift responsibility for public sidewalks to property owners.
It seems that Wilmington has had a an illegal law on its books transferring liability to homeowners for years and now (obviously) wants to keep the issue out of the court of public opinion.
I was in thre Chancery Court today to keep an eye on the CSD vs CoW school closing suit and I met a Mr. Davis who showed me a document that is circulating about the sidewalk liability STINK.
I am glad that Tyler is onto it.
What type of document, Nancy? I live in Wilmington and would not mind helping to circulate something among my neighbors.
And certainly thanks to Tyler for being on this. I hope that this interview is up as a podcast on WDEL shortly.
Tyler? Can you help? I did not get a copy.
This is the first I heard about it, Nancy. I wish I knew more, but the City (or whoever) does not CC me on their damage control white papers.
As crooked as the Wilmington government is, I am surprised they would put anything in writing. That is one of their tricks in strong-arming citizens. They never put anything in writing, so when they get around to screwing people over there is no paper trail the citizen can use in their defense.
If you get a hold of this, please send me a copy.
