Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell

Over at change.gov, the Obama people posted a video of Robert Gibbs answering Round 2 questions: This exchange was really interesting:

Thaddeus: Is the new administration going to get rid of the “don’t ask don’t tell” policy?

Gibbs: Thaddeus, you don’t hear a politician give a one-word answer much, but it’s yes.

There’s no detail, no timeline, but this is certainly hopeful. It is way past time to eliminate this destructive and discriminatory policy.

I wish he’d get rid of DADT on day one but I hear there will be a bit of a delay. I think they’re trying to make sure they don’t get the same smacking around that Clinton got.

  2. I’m not buying it. Barry is a politician and there is nothing to be gained from this.
