Trump & Biden on “Division”
In the vacuum of a “presidential” response to the bombing attacks, Biden stepped up. That isn’t surprising. Biden enjoys his current role as America’s adult. But let’s have a conversation about what ending “this division, this hatred, this ugliness” means. Because if it means Democrats go back to being obsequious pussies who allow Republicans to run riot, in the hope that the GOP will eventually get tired of holding power – count me out.
Trump:
“Well I think I’ve been toned down, if you want to know the truth. I could really tone it up because, as you know, the media’s been extremely unfair to me and the Republican Party,” Trump said hours after the FBI arrested a suspect in connection to the mailed pipe bombs sent to prominent Democrats and CNN this week.
Biden:
“This division, this hatred, this ugliness — it has to end,” Biden said at the university. “Words matter.”
“I’ve never, ever, ever looked at a political opponent as an enemy. They are an opponent in a contest of ideas, but not an enemy.
“We are Americans before we are Democrats or Republicans or independents.”
If a bomb in his mailbox didn’t wake Joe up, nothing will.
Nah! Several million miles past “we’re all just Americans”, that warm and fuzzy leftover from victory in W.W. II is long gone at this point. Likewise for not viewing the other side as ‘the enemy”, act like an enemy and you will be viewed as such, think Mitch McConnell as a best example.
Adult? the guy has a drug using son who is humping his son’s widow and he is an adult?
