Now, THAT’S A Report.  The report from the House Intelligence Committee lays out the crimes and the criminals in clear and concise language. One guy who got caught acting both as a ‘tryer of fact’ and a criminal? That Devin Nunes.  Betcha he didn’t know that his own committee had those phone records…

Ga. Governor Disses Trump, Rejects Trump’s Choice For Open Georgia Senate Seat.  The most conservative of Rethugs wanted a known attack dog. So did Trump. His choice? Rep. Doug Collins, who will be the lead attack dog in the House Judiciary Committee’s impeachment hearings. Gee, why would Trump want to cozy up to that guy?  Of course, the new senator is not anything approaching a progressive. She’s become a multimillionaire in the financial service sector, and was a big supporter of Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign. She and her husband own an estate  allegedly worth $10.5 mill.

How McKinsey Conspired With Trump To Detain And Deport Immigrants.  Great reporting, as usual, from Pro Publica.  BTW, the article also describes other outrages by McKinsey.  Hmmm, that name seems familiar…didn’t a presidential candidate once work there?  Anyway, here’s a partial litany of the firm’s ‘work’:

McKinsey has faced mounting scrutiny over the past two years, as reports by The New York Times, ProPublica and others have raised questions about whether the firm has crossed ethical and legal lines in pursuit of profit. The consultancy returned millions of dollars in fees after South African authorities implicated it in a profiteering scheme. The exposure of its history advising opioid makers on ways to bolster sales induced the usually secretive firm to declare publicly that its opioid work had ended. Last month, the Times reported that McKinsey’s bankruptcy practice is the subject of a federal criminal investigation. The firm has denied wrongdoing in each case, but it apologized for missteps in South Africa.

I wonder if their ‘history advising opioid makers on ways to bolster sales’ occurred while that presidential candidate worked there.

Rethugs ‘Gaslighting’ America With Their So-Called Report.  It landed with a thud, as it should have. ‘A Soviet style rewriting of history’.

2020 Census Count Looks Like A Clusterbleep.  The contractor has already had its systems hacked by Russia and others.  Cheapest is almost always the worst.

News-Journal Unveils Toxic Chemical Database.  I know it’s subscription-only.  But it’s an essential public service. Worth a subscription.

On this date 50 years ago the Chicago pigs, with support and information from FBI pigs, assassinated Fred Hampton in his bed while sleeping next to his pregnant wife.

Also, a presidential candidate did indeed work for the elite fascist consulting outfit.

Mayo McKinsey Peter Paul Montgomery Buttigieg

But the “news” said “the numbers” look good for him. I think they called it a “strong fourth.”
