“For a GOPer controlled House, the fiscal conservatives were scant in the room tonight.” – – Nancy Willing

Which reminds me.  I have to get to the Hallmark store and get Dave Burris a condolence card.

    I need one.

  2. Comment rescue from DE Watch:

Oberle reiterated that the JFC would have final say on any arbitration so that these negotiations would remain within controls of those with the purse strings.

Very interesting also was the amendment for an individual’s right to have a say or nay over whether they would participate in the block negotiations. The author (name escapes me) wanted workers to have the right to disengage from the block – and so have the choice on whether they would have to now automatically pay into the fees demanded by the new collective bargaining arrangement.

    That amendment was defeated.

The fiscal note on the CB Bill was hinted at over 30 million as the rumors flew before the GOPers caucus let out.

On the floor, Valihura pointed to Chris Coons on balcony above saying in protest that the same crap that the county backed into with unions’ pay bargaining might come to similarly haunt the House. He sent up a prayer (or five) that it would not happen.

Greg Lavelle just plain said that with a budget this tight, no one should really expect to get very much of a hand out.

For a GOPer controlled House, the fiscal conservatives were scant in the room tonight.

    Folks,

If you negotiate a bad contract you get a bad outcome. The real beef here that legislators have lost some power especially the JFC members.
