  1. She will, too.

When RWNJ’s like The Right Reverend Tim Dukes and Bryant Richardson aren’t RWNJ-enough for this whack job, she’s already decided to do it.

Why? She wants the platform and probably needs the job. She’ll win, but she won’t be a thorn in the left’s side. She will just push more people out of the Rethug Party. Even in Sussex County.

I think it’s a fait accompli that she runs.

  2. Alby says:

I look forward to her proclaiming herself Queen of the Trailer Parks.

  3. Alby says:

Here’s the thing about being “Delaware MJT” — it’s not going to pay anything like being a Congressturd. How many donations do you think someone can pull down by being a noisy member of that all-powerful political body, Sussex County Council?

Someone should look up her employment record. I’ll bet there isn’t one.

  4. Joe Connor says:

She won’t be running for County Council she will take on one of the 2 already awful dudes mentioned above in either House or Senate. My guess is House. I too believe she will win and use the title to do a national road show for appearance fees from 7/1 to the second Tuesday of January and as many open dates as she can book during session. She will introduce the latest and worst of the anti black, anti LGBTQ crap on the RWNJ dance card and promote same. She will keep her federal campaign account open and raise a shit ton of $$$ and go after Carper or his anointed successor if Tom decides to not chance hitting the bill Roth wall. If you think this is not a threat you have not taken a critical look at her 2020 numbers and the just released census data!

    • Alby says:

You think she’ll win? I’ll take the bet.

You could point to Christine O’Donnell, but that would overlook the years O’Donnell put in on the anti-abortion circuit. Witzke is a carpetbagger compared to O’Donnell. And I think guys who are actual conservatives won’t repeat the Mike Castle mistake of failing to run to the right. don’t think those guys will lay down and let a grifter walk all over them, and I think among the voters blood will win out over bile. Recent right-wing residents with no roots in the county might vote for Witzke, but I think the long-term residents will stick with who they know. A few carpetbaggers have taken aim at Delaware in recent years — remember Urquhart? — and none has succeeded.

I think she’s going to find that being a rabble-rouser in Sussex County, a place that amounts to a Southern state but with a population under 200,000, isn’t very lucrative. I’m sure it beats being a drug mule, but if she runs for statewide office again she’ll be beaten like a dirty rug.

The salient numbers are the finance reports. She raised less than half a million last time around, half of it from PACs. If rich Republicans want to piss away their sofa cushion fund on back-bench loudmouths who can’t accomplish anything in a cobalt-blue state, that’s on them.

      • Joe Connor says:

I would prefer you be right. But a few indicators say otherwise. One is just a fact of her provenance. Born in Delmar and living back in her community. She actually practiced softball in the winter a warehouse I owned behind my office with my partner’s kid’s travel team in the early ’00’s. Her numbers in ’20 and census data create at a minimum a path, colbalt blue is not as much of a sure thing in 22 and going forward old RWNJ’s are flocking to the chicken plucking Riviera. As to winning in her local RD or SD I spent 20 years living in Sussex and the 13 corridor from Seaford to Delmar is tailor made for her. Christine’s best play would have been to move to Sussex when I first met her in ’05 when we both did business at WGMD she could have taken on Atkins after the fall and done better statewide in ’10. Don’t underestimate Witzke’s off the books grifting. She made a killing on her Pirated T-shirt, flag and bobblehead Motorhome junk shop, enough to earn a couple cease and desists from the actual Orange one’s campaign.

        • Alby says:

Tell me more about this motorhome junk shop. I confess I paid little attention to her. Thirty-five years in the media has made ignoring attention whores my superpower.

          • Joe Connor says:

Think knock off t-shirt’s and CD’s outside the concert venue of your choice. Just in a Winnebago filled with Trump flags, shirts, and other fantastic stuff all pirated and following Witzke to all of her parking lot rallies. I observed this in action several times including that fatefil day at State Republican HQ when one of her minions aimed his pistol at my head:).

  5. Mitch Crane says:

I agree with Joe Connor (sorry Joe). She could very well win a primary and the general in the region Joe outlined. However, Sussex will gain 1-2 House seats and 1 Senate seat. Re-redistricting will have a lot to say. Will she wait for the new districts and then move into a favorable one? Even though Sussex from the route 13 area west is now heavily red territory, Democratic candidates can garner 40% of the vote. Richardson has not been a very popular senator, but he did beat an incumbent Bob Venables and then Planning & Zoning Chair Bob Wheatley in his two runs. It is not a given. Representative Gray’s district (38th) is going to look very different next year. This is where the most population growth has occurred (Fenwick-Bethany Beach). She ought to move into the 41st and primary Rich Collins. Other than gender, not a whole lot of difference.

    • Alby says:

I’d actually prefer Witzke, who doesn’t have Collins’ deep ties to the real estate industry. Add in the fact that she doesn’t know what she’s doing and her election would be a gift that keeps on giving.

Again, I’ll take the bet. I’m not saying she has no chance, but OG Sussex Republicans are nasty pieces of work. She thinks she can waltz to a win? Good. Somebody make the popcorn.

  6. Ben says:

Lol. I’m gonna interpret this as a diss on Boebert. She was SO EXCITED to be the resident nutjob and got absolutely eclipsed. What a loser
