State GOP chair calls on Democrats to return FTX donation
The chair of the Delaware Republican Party has called on the state’s Democratic Party to reject a donation from disgraced cryptocurrency entrepreneur Sam Bankman-Fried.
Bankman-Fried contributed $9,756.20 to the Democratic State Committee of Delaware on Aug. 31, 2022, according to the Federal Election Commission.
Attempts were not successful to obtain comment from the Delaware Democrats.
I never understood this whole “return your donation from this [person, entity, etc.] for their/its reprehensible views.”
Keep their fucking money! Use it in ways that would piss them off! If I randomly received a huge check from Donald Trump himself, I would cash it and spend it on stuff he would hate, including my family.
The implication in politics is that when you take money from someone you are beholden to them.
Also… return it to whom? The bankruptcy court? This is just stupid bullshit.

What a dried up piece of work she’s become. Her organization hosted a convicted January 6 rioter to speak at a fundraiser in June.
