“You’re No Good,” Linda Ronstadt’s first and only No. 1 hit (she did have three No. 2’s and a No. 3), appeared in 1974 on her “Heart Like a Wheel” LP, which also hit No. 1.
Ronstadt’s cover didn’t stray much from the first recording of the song by Dee Dee Warwick, Dionne’s little sister, in 1963. Betty Everett also recorded it that year; her version didn’t quite make the Top 40, stalling at No. 51.
