Wilmington City Council Wastes Yet More Money In Quixotic Challenge To James Spadola:

The Wilmington City Council isn’t done trying to oust Councilman James Spadola, the Republican-turned-Democrat who kept his seat last month after a Chancery Court judge sided with him in a dispute over his party switch.

This month, Council President Ernest “Trippi” Congo appealed the Chancery Court ruling on behalf of the full City Council. His attorney, Jane Brady, has until Nov. 30 to file an opening brief with the Delaware Supreme Court.  (That Jane Brady?)

In the initial appeal filing, Brady said the council’s decision to continue the case followed internal discussions that demonstrated council members remained “firmly convinced” of that the city charter bars a minority-party member from switching to the majority party.

Spadola made that switch last year, noting at the time that he disagreed with several policies associated with President Donald Trump. His decision meant that all 13 Wilmington City Council seats were held by Democrats.

The city has spent more than $207,000 on the case as of Oct. 23, according to City Council staff. Of that, a little over $130,000 went to Spadola’s attorneys and about $75,000 to Congo’s attorneys.

Regardless of the case’s eventual outcome, Wilmington City Council has done a superb job of turning Spadola into an undeserving martyr while wasting taxpayers’ money.

Rogue DOJ Keeps Messing In Elections:

Washington:

The Department of Justice on Wednesday told Washington state officials to segregate ballots from 400 people who it claimed are — or, at least, “appear to be” — noncitizens registered to vote.

It’s a repeat of what the DOJ has undertaken in California — first in Los Angeles and then in each other county in the state.

“People who are non-citizens are registered to vote and are voting in our state,” Neil Floyd, the acting U.S. attorney for the Western District of Washington, claimed in a press release yesterday. Floyd is a former immigration judge who was hand-picked by President Trump for the post. “We have identified over 400 non-citizens who are registered to vote and have voted in multiple elections.”

Despite its sloppiness, the impact of the DOJ’s scheme is two-fold.

First, it serves to bolster Trump’s frequent but baseless claims that noncitizen voting happens on a mass scale and swings elections. This will become useful after the election, as the administration seeks to further undermine confidence in the result.

Second, the claims — coupled with recent operations to arrest alleged noncitizen voters, a DOJ program dispatching poll watchers to blue cities, Trump’s offer of a bounty for “voter fraud,” and a noted escalation in anti-immigrant rhetoric — stand to suppress turnout among voters who are legally registered but who nonetheless fear getting caught in the administration’s crosshairs.

Georgia:

The U.S. Department of Justice has notified several Georgia counties it intends to station monitors there on Election Day.

Bibb, Cobb, Chatham, DeKalb, Fulton and Gwinnett counties have received notifications from the Justice Department. Each of those counties has produced solid wins for Democrats in recent elections.

The Justice Department routinely sends election monitors to polling locations to ensure compliance with laws and that voters’ rights are protected. But given the Trump administration’s actions to assert more federal control over elections and investigate the president’s 2020 election grievances, the notices have raised concerns among Democrats and some election officials about what the monitors might try to do in November.

Rogue DOJ’s Obsession With James Comey:

The Trump administration has just charged James Comey for a third time.

The Department of Justice alleged that the former FBI director leaked national defense information 10 years ago, according to court filings made public Monday. The DOJ claims that Comey was the source of national security information that ended up in a 2016 New York Times report.  (They just discovered this, or have the been building a case for 10 years?)

Prosecutors filed a “waiverless criminal information” in Washington, D.C., federal court, allowing them to bring charges without an indictment and extend the 10-year statute of limitations to get one. Comey vowed to fight any charges in a video he posted Monday.

“It would almost be funny if it weren’t such an appalling abuse of the Department of Justice, one that we cannot become numb to. Nothing’s changed with me, I’m still innocent, I’m still not afraid of these people, and I still believe in the independent federal judiciary,” Comey said, adding that prosecutors waited too long to bring the charges.

The new charges came just hours after a judge ruled that Comey’s daughter Maurene, the former assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, was wrongfully terminated in July 2025, and ordered the DOJ to reinstate her with back pay. No reason was given for her dismissal, although her last name may have been a factor.

The DOJ and Trump have become one and the same.  Trump never lets go of anything, and he uses the courts to beat his opponents into submission.

Something The Rogue DOJ Continues To Cover Up:

A woman who had accused President Donald Trump of sexually assaulting her in 1993 described it to congressional staff as rape and said the interaction left her bleeding and bruised, according to a report released Monday by Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee examining Trump’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

Beatrice Keul, a model and former Miss Switzerland, alleged to Judiciary Committee staff that she was raped by Trump in a Plaza Hotel suite in Manhattan when she was 24. Keul said that while attending the American Dream Pageant, which had a partnership with Trump, she met with Trump at a press luncheon at the event.

Trump, according to Keul, promised to arrange her visa in the U.S. and ensure her acceptance into New York University through his friend Paolo Zampolli, a close Trump ally who was, until earlier this month, part of his Administration. At the same event, she also spent at least 10 minutes talking to Epstein who she said claimed to have organized “many parties with Don.”

Later that day, Keul alleges, Trump invited her to a hotel suite where Trump “grabbed Keul from behind and forcibly raped her,” causing “bleeding and bruising on multiple parts of her body,” the report says. Following the incident, Keul alleges Trump made her promise she would keep quiet and repeated his promise for visa and college admission.

Because Keul’s passport had been taken from her on her arrival, she was not able to leave the contest following the incident, she alleges, according to the report. After she returned to Switzerland, she declined to participate in an additional Trump-sponsored pageant in Hawaii several weeks later.

Does anyone not believe this?  This serial rapist is being protected by his criminal ‘Department Of Justice’.  Enough of the Epstein Files will eventually see the light of day.  At which point, Trump’s place in history will be secured.

How Is Ramaswamy Just Like Jesus?  There’s no room at the inn. (OK, it’s a tortured analogy, but an analogy nonetheless):

Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy is struggling to book venues in his home state just days before the midterms, amid growing backlash to his unreasonably cruel attack ad against Democratic opponent Amy Acton.

Two Ohio restaurants—Elliot’s Wood Fired Kitchen and The Old Dog Ale House & Brewery—have canceled events with the Ohio Republican Party featuring Ramaswamy after he released and then doubled down on his advert featuring Acton’s mother, Donna Arthur. An event the party was supposed to host on Tuesday now lists “to be announced” as the location.

That cruelty is negatively impacting Ramaswamy’s campaign. An anonymous Ohio Republican even told Zeteo that they were “getting calls that people don’t want him there.” Other venues that hosted Ramaswamy over the weekend have been flooded by one-star reviews on Google.

Sad.
