It seems like some of our State Republicans feel it is the governments job to create jobs?

Is this typical? I don’t understand how you can bash the governor for letting jobs go when  your party champions Free Market Capitalism. When the competition is supposed to be created by the people, not by government?

Gosh, it just seems like they want it both ways?

Seems like the New Deal would be a good blue print for you guys to follow.

  1. DonV,

The state government should take an active but suportive role in helping private enterprise create jobs. Taxes for instance should always work towards savings, growth and investment. With those things you get revenue growth for government obligations and services.

The New Deal which my parents lived through did not revitalize the economy in a material way although it did get people “moving” again. There is a pretty good book by Amity Schlaes on this subject.

    Have a great day.
