Deep Thought

Filed in National by on May 28, 2009

When I lived in DC I hated that whenever I was going out somewhere, the first question my suburban friends would ask would be, “Is there parking?”

Now, as I think about how much I am going to enjoy seeing everyone at drinking liberally, I find myself thinking, “Is there parking?”

    Damn southerners. 😉

  2. Dorian Gray says:

The question was annoying because the DC Metro is the shit. Take the green line to L’Enfant Plaza then switch to the orange or blue… 🙂

Unfortunately good public transportantion is for socialists.

You’re right. The metro made that question pretty maddening.

I guess, tonight, I could take the lightrail from Middletown (North) and just walk the few blocks from the Amtrak station to CW’s.

The Metro is the shit. Clean, safe, dependable and cheap. My car doesn’t meet any of those criteria.

What do you think: the place has a drive up window?

  6. cassandra_m says:

    LOL, Tommy!

There is parking and you can either park right off of West St at their lot or come down Water St to the AAA lot which is open for parking (I think still) after 5 or 6PM for Riverfront revelers.

Do you guys remember the “Brew Thru”s in the Carolinas? Drive through package store, and in the sixties you could get a cold adult beverage mixed for you while waiting for your order.

  8. I hope it has parking!

Ah, the DC Metro. The nanny-bus, if you will, for those of us who visited friends at Amer U, the campus up by Tenley. Yeah, fun and games until you accidentally get off at DuPont Cir one drunken night for some totally unrememberable reason (other than I may have had impaired judgement). I think what got me more was how much more it resembled a ghost town over anything else.

  10. Do you guys remember the “Brew Thru”s in the Carolinas?

What are you talking about, Carolina, we have one in Seaford. Party Corner, man. Two doors down from the closed strip club for alleged “backroom activity.” (rumor has it)

There was one in Dover forever , too. It had pink elephants trunk to tail encircling the building at the old Value City shopping center. At least, I thought I saw pink elephants???

  12. kaveman says:

Are you guys seriously saying that you have to pay to park your vehicle???

    Hahahahhahhahahha

I park for free you stupid lib tards,.

  13. liberalgeek says:

    Nope, free tonight.

  14. I parked for free as well. If only I could remember where.

#12 score very high on the pitiful loser chart. Trying too hard. Taking credit for something that is a normal part of everyday life…. It has all the hallmarks of pitiful loserhood.

Having Mike P comment here means that I am a bit of an expert on comments from pitiful losers.
