Crist Pulls Ahead In The Polls

Filed in National by on June 21, 2010

I’ve been watching Florida very closely mainly because it’s one of the most prominent tests the Tea Party will face.  And while a lot can happen until the election this can’t be good news for the “purge the moderates” group.

Gov. Charlie Crist has a large lead in the three-way race to the be the next Senator from Florida, a new poll found this weekend. The poll, conducted for the Florida Chamber of Commerce, shows Crist with a double-digit lead over both of his opponents in the general election, likely Republican nominee Marco Rubio and Democrat Kendrick Meek.

The poll, fielded by Republican pollster Cherry Communications, shows Crist with 42% of the vote, Rubio with 31% and Meek with 14%. The poll was conducted June 9-13 among 607 likely voters and has a margin of error of 4%.

Uh oh.

As far as I’m concerned, I want Crist to win – and win big.  Not because I like Crist, but rather because the Tea Party’s 15 minutes is up.  They really need to be put in perspective.

LOL. If they lose, Rubio and the rest of the unhinged nutbags on the right are going to come away from this election thinking that they should have been MORE conservative. Whatever the electoral disease, the cure is always more conservative purity.

  2. jason330 says:

BTW, How shocking is it to find out that the teabagger’s celebrity hunk, Rubio, is a lying piece of shit? Not very.

(This week) we learn that a bank started foreclosure proceedings on Rubio’s Tallahassee home. We already knew Mr. Fiscal Conservative had reported nearly a million dollars in debt in 2008 and improperly double-billed the GOP and taxpayers for travel expenses. This is the fiscal discipline he’ll bring to Washington?”

If they dont come away from this election flying the Stars and Bars and marching to Ft Sumpter. It is only a matter of time until the Right doesnt get what it wants, gets outvoted by a majority of their fellow Americans, and gets really violent. It is the Way of the Right…. and the south.
That is not to say we should cave to terrorism and elect Right Wingers just to avoid the violence they will bring if they lose. we should just be aware of what these people are capable of.

I’m guessing Crist would caucus with Democrats – and he will have some scores to settle with the GOP. Now Republicans know what our Lieberman pain feels like.

  5. I don’t want Crist to win but I would like for Rubio to lose.
