Delaware Liberal Summer Book Club: It’s On

OK, I know some won’t like it, but we are going for Obama’s Audacity of Hope as the first book.  We will arrange for a date to get together (real or online) sometime after the 4th of July.  In a hat tip to Disbelief, I will commit to have the real meeting (if it happens) below the canal, since he is always bitching about Drinking Liberally being in the north.

I do like the idea of Crashing the Gate as the second book.  Who’s in?

I’m in. I just rediscovered reading for pleasure and I like it.

  2. I’ve had the book for months but haven’t found time to read it. This will give me the nudge. I’m in.

Both Obama’s books are beautifully written….

I bought a second copy of “Audacity of Hope” to pass around (now I have 2 copies floating about)….it struck me as a book anyone could read & learn a ton about the man & the “process”…he is a very good teacher….

Choosing “Crashing the Gate ” is brilliant….what a great job explaining the rise of the Repubs, the differences in Dems message (lack of single sound-bite lines & WHY) & the Repub message….how the DC mentality differs so much from the rest of the country…..& how the 50 state approach is EXACTLY what will build the Dems….

    I think I’ll read it again…..

  4. I’m in.

And Crashing the Gate is fantastic — I have to find my copy which is being passed around, but it is really worth reading.
