Monday Daily Delawhere [1.2.12]

   Rehoboth Beach. The Star of the Sea is named (I think) for the wreck of a ship called the Star of the Sea that is buried in the sand out in front of the building. Sometimes when the sand has washed well away, and the tide is low, you can see traces of the ship.

   Correct. I didn’t know the ship is still there. Wow. I am going to have to check that out

   Actually the ships (because there are apparantly two on top of each other) are the Merrimac beached in 1918 and the Thomas Tracey beached in 1944.

   I sit corrected. Also, there’s not usually much to see. On the other hand, it’s the beach. Come on down.
