    We can also surmise that Lee is not raising anything online. For at one Greenville swanky fundraiser last month, he raised $55,000, which is just over 25% of his total!

    But yes, those numbers certainly tell the tale of why the DelDems are propping Carney up.

    The number that matters hasn’t been revealed yet: Carney’s cash on hand.

    My initial thought on these numbers?

    What the hell did Markell spend $1.5 million on in 8 months?

    This is reflective of his budget growth over the last 6 years and indicative of the type of government he plans to run: expensive.

    If we follow your reasoning, Dave, we’d expect that Lee isn’t planning to run any government at all — that guy has only enough money to live large at the beach, I’m thinking.

    I would not be surprised if Johnny had less that $500G on hand — hell, I’d be amazed if he had $450G laying around.

    Cassandra — Let’s wait and see what Lee spent. If he spent $100-$150 in three months, that’s about what you’d expect.

    You can’t deny that when Jack Markell is around, serious amounts of money are spent. Maybe that’s why he had no problem with the state debt doubling on his watch.
