Yep, the Republicans defend Palin by saying she’s within her statutory authority, never mind the abuse of it. They certainly think it’s ok to fire people for whatever bullshit reason they think up. I’ve got stuck in my head that Bushi Sarah Taylor (?) who said “I swore an oath to the president.” I think it must be because Republicans tend to be more authoritarian.
I’m an Obama supporter, but this smells of politics like when the Republicans impeached Clinton. A democratic panel in an election year…no power abuses there?? Come on!
let’s get back to the issues that matter like the economy, Iraq war
UI is right. A Repub lead legislature in AK opened the inquiry well before anyone knew who this woman was. The measure to begin the investigation passed unanimously, I believe. No parallel to Clinton at all. Sorry dude.
The fact that this inquiry was going on at all was one of the reasons why many scratched their heads when Palin got the nod — who in their right minds picks someone with this kind of sword of Damocles hanging over their heads?
Ignore nothing! Just don’t make it the central issue.
Ha! As I type this CNN is running the Ayers/bad judgement ad! IGNORE NOTHING! And demand that McCain brings this crap to the debate next week. He needs to own it.
I think he was referring to a gardener – you know, like the kid who cuts the grass. How could that have anything to do with Obama? It’s not racist at all. It was a joke – the kind you would normally tell.
“you are pathetic and your son should be embarrassed.”
I thought kids were off-limits DV?
Oh, and don’t think all republicans subscribe to “Bush Republicanism.” Some do, some don’t, and Republicans can hardly be said to hold a monopoly on “abuses of power.”

Fail TomS! The panel was 10 Republicans, 4 Democrats.

I just started Tom Franks’ The Wrecking Crew: How Conservatives Rule and your abuse of power observation seems to be the central thesis of the book.
UI–thanks, I stand humbly corrected…
I still think we’re missing the ball. It’s just going to lead to more mud-slinging…Wright, Ayers, Rezko-whether there are deserved parallels or not.
We should ignore her abuse of power because of Rev. Wright? They’ve already gone there Tom, so I respectfully disagree.

tom s,
not that it matters to you, but I admire your ability to admit you were wrong.
bravo
Seriously, Don, this is the second time in two minutes I’ve seen you show a polite, softer side. Maybe Mrs. Hotviti should have a baby every year.
Bravo to you!
Depends on the availability of the lawn boy.
That made me cackle.
see dom
now it is blatantly obvious you are a racist. I was going to delete that comment. It is the 2nd type of comment this guy has made about Obama,
but now, I will leave it out there for everyone to see your reaction.
you are pathetic and your son should be embarrassed.

His card distinctly says:
Your Complete Needs
Mowing & Fertilizing
Uhhh….the lawn boy was about something else, DV……think real hard….
Pwned!
I think you had the race card hiding in your sleeve, DV…..
EASY BIG FELLA!!!!
You know what we do to card cheats in these parts???
And thanks, Dom, for having a sharp sense of humor…much needed here.

DV is so much like W…..
