The Sherrif is a Ni****

I’m not sure if this is supposed to be a parable or some third hand account of an actual event or a lost sketch from the Dave Chapelle Show, but it still has an air of truth about it in this election:
So a canvasser goes to a woman’s door in Washington, Pennsylvania. Knocks. Woman answers. Knocker asks who she’s planning to vote for. She isn’t sure, has to ask her husband who she’s voting for. Husband is off in another room watching some game. Canvasser hears him yell back, “We’re votin’ for the n***er!”
Woman turns back to canvasser, and says brightly and matter of factly: “We’re voting for the n***er.”

Sorry, that cracke(r)d me up.
I read earlier this month on 538.com I think that canvassers had been reporting that even racists are undecided.
Janis Ian and Blazing Saddles? I’m reliving my youth!
And given the above story I’m half expecting to see “Racists for Obama” signs at the next rally. 😉
LOL Pandora–because they’re not allowed to have that sign on the McCain side!
And don’t forget “Undecided for Obama”–they have a voice too.
So, given that I’m not reading any comments laden with righteous indignation, is it safe to infer that here at DL racism is ok as long as the racist is supporting Obama?
I think the story was disturbing. It should also serve as proof to many of you that all racists are not Republican.
DOM!!!
Lighten up for once you know it’s only die hard Repuk’s that don’t have a sense of humor
Hey, when people overcome their personal feelings to do what they believe is right, I applaud it. I find it funny. I know people here in Delaware like that who say I can’t believe that I am voting for a ** for President.
What a country! LOL You have to love it. It isn’t how a person feels about your background but whether or not they give you a fair shake. I have found that I have gotten a better shake from people openly struggling with a racist heritage than from people who claim to be progressive. Don’t knock the honest struggler.
‘Lighten up for once you know it’s only die hard Repuk’s that don’t have a sense of humor’
Oh. My. God. This site is the PC Police’s home page and we all know that PC people are not known for their rollicking sense of humor. God forbid someone were to crack a joke about Obama around here. The townsfolk would be at their door tonight with lit torches.
we aren’t the police Dom, we are the spotlight.
you have become the Mike W of this blog now.
sad, sad older woman.
Coming from you, it’s intended to be an insult, but I’ll take it as a compliment. At least mike w can clearly articulate a thought and be objective.
Actually, Dominique, if you knew Mel Brooks and his sense of humor and what he does in his movies, it’s to poke fun at racists, anti-Semites, and self-righteous conservatives (like you). He makes you out to be the fools you really are.
Now, if you want to talk about true racism and the hate that McSame and the milf have encourages, go read this story – http://www.local12.com/mostpopular/story.aspx?content_id=39c3f3ee-24f8-4126-9ea8-f8b18ef1c2d1.
Sorry for the second comment, but if you really want to talk about racism, read this story about the hate that McSame and the moose hunter have encouraged – http://www.local12.com/mostpopular/story.aspx?content_id=39c3f3ee-24f8-4126-9ea8-f8b18ef1c2d1
My comments weren’t directed at Mel Brooks or the Blazing Saddles clip, MJ. I’m very familiar with the movie and his sense of humor (which I enjoy). My comments were directed at the story below the clip. I find racism deplorable regardless of the person’s political persuasion. Evidently, racism is acceptable to some people as long as the racist is voting for their guy.
You don’t know a thing about me. If you did, you’d know that I am not the self-righteous one in this crowd, nor am I a conservative. Maybe you should stick to discussing things you understand. At least the conversations would be brief.
Guess I touched a nerve with Dominique. Actually, you are pretty self-righteous when all you do around here is condemn us anti-American liberals day-in, day-out.
As opposed to the way you greet those with opposing opinions with kindness and open-mindedness?
Sorry you see differing views as “condemnation”. Ironically, if you take a look at the history of comments on this site, I am more often the recipient of actual condemnation than the perpetrator of it. Of course, it would require an ounce of objectivity and honesty for you to admit that, so I don’t expect it to happen.
Meow!!! Dom, Alex Trebek is on the phone for you. He has your clue!
Dominique, you don’t know me, so I find it humorous that you would comment on my objectivity or honesty. Actually, I am pretty objective in my observations of the comments on here. I just don’t like phony self-serving, self-righteous kartofel kopfs like you.
BTW, your punctuation in your first sentence of your second paragraph is incorrect. The period should be on the right side of the closing quotation mark.
lol,
called out by another commenter Dom.
Yep, it’s everyone else around here and not you….
DOM
When I met you over drinks I Thought you were a delightful person and smart at that however please don’t lose your sense of humor . Some of your post here and at Down with absolutes do not reflect the bright and delightful person I met that night.
I hope the folks on this blog don’t think that we had a sexual encounter even though I classify you as a great mind fucker
DV just refers to her as a f@&%er.
I have not lost my sense of humor, TT. I am no less bright or delightful here and DWA than I was when you met me. I have my opinions, you have yours. We both do the same thing – call out the other guy and his supporters for their shortcomings. Yet, when I do it, it’s somehow because I lack a sense of humor or I’m a racist or I’m bitter over Hillary, but when you or anyone else here in the Obama love nest does it it’s somehow ok. Hard to imagine why I would come across as less than charming.
MJ – “Fuck off.”
FTR, I’m not going to lose sleep over anyone pretentious enough to use the phrase “kartofel kopfs” not liking me. BTW, I think it’s spelled “kartoffel.”
Dom, we get that you don’t like Obama. But you and others constantly come back and say the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over again.
It gets boring.
Classy!!!
In German, there are two “f’s,” in Yiddish, we only use one.
OMG, because it’s so exciting and stimulating to hear about his awesomeness every single freaking day?!? Or how hideous McCain and his supporters are? Seriously??? Do you really not see the hypocrisy in your statement?
I am certain that any minute now, Ashton Kutcher and his crew will appear with their cameras and tell me that I’m being punked. There is no freaking way you guys are for real. No way.
Sorry, MJ, I’m not Jewish and I don’t speak Yiddish. I had to depend on google, who, incidentally, suggested the spelling. Perhaps you could translate your clever little insult for those of us who speak English.
Kartoffel (or Kartofel if you please) Kopf = potato head.
I swore that minor in German language and literature would come in handy one day, and boy this is it!
Thanks, Johnny. BTW, German language and literature? Really? Why? Are you of German descent or were you particularly interested in it for some reason? Just curious.
Also from the movie…”Shvatzes”
Translate that.
Actually, it’ schvartzha, meaning a black person. Also Yiddish and can be used in a derogatory manner, much as gentiles are referred to as goyim, and how my people are referred to as hymies by a former presidential candidate. OK, Yiddish 101 for today is over.
And one question, can Ashton Kutcher punk a punk?
Dom
As you are aware I too was more than pissed over the way Hillary was treated not only in the MSM but here on this Blog. In someways it wasn’t a disagreement over Ideas but most of the time it was down right hateful, mean and petty, However, I got over it and voted for Obama hopefully for the greater good.I do agree with you that unless you join the choir here you subject yourself to some very vile insults.
